1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    2. Hello, I’m a newbie myself and I have yet to own a doll. Nevertheless, I’ve already worked it out and planned up to my 4th boy. If all goes well, my first two boys should arrive by end of this year. Yeah, deciding on the first is always the hardest! I’m not ambitious enough to get a blank head and body and settle the face-up myself though. I can’t even put on make-up on myself nicely, so I wouldn’t dare to toy with that idea. Hybrids are very common among doll owners I believe. My (soon-to-be) 2nd boy would be one too.

Thought I’ll share my story. He’s a DOT Sha on an Angell Studio body because I don’t like the idea of him being taller than his boyfriend, an Angell Studio Lucifer. For me, I faced various problems. Firstly, the resin compatibility. After much research and with kind assistance from Angell Studio’s side, I think AS’s Solid Pink would be the best match for DOD’s natural skin even though DOD’s resin would be slightly more pinkish.

Then, the head. DOD doesn’t sell Sha head but since their Sha’s sculpt is exactly the same as Shall’s, they agreed to do a Sha face up on a Shall head. But! I was also informed that a Shall head would only fit to a smaller neck because it’s meant to be female. Horror, horror, horror! Luckily, AS offers neck customization so the head-body-fitting problem is also solved.

You must be prepared to do a lot of homework (research) and ask a lot of questions in order to find a good head-body match, up to your liking and most importantly, the resin compatibility. People here on DOA are helpful, there’s useful information here and I believe staffs of doll companies are really nice too. So good luck on your venture~

    3. yes I mix and match dolls (when it works out) and also outfits LOL LOL

    4. Thank you bunnymachine ^^

Finding your first doll is very hard! Don't feel discouraged about splitting heads and bodies from companies, this hobby is all about making your doll unique, so if you can get it, go for it. ^^

Yes unfortunately there are some problems like resin tones, proportions and of course the price... but it's all about searching...and if you can't find what you want, there's always blushing, modifications...or artists to make that for you XD

Have a great time on DoA, the foruns have have an insane amount of information for you ^^

    5. Why do you hate the iplehouse JID body? I'm thinking of getting an Iplehouse S.I.D. so I was just curious if you didn't like the aesthetics, or if it was the quality of the body itself.

    6. I bought a head hoping to get a body for it later but got so confused looking for information on matches I just went ahead and bought the whole doll. I still have a floating head. I think I'll avoid the hybrid thing.
