1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you people style your dolls' hair?

Jul 10, 2013

    1. I've cut and styled many wigs! (Some results being much better than others....) I've shaved the sides of fur wigs, created pomps and quiffs, trimmed long wigs, layered wigs, given choppy cuts!

    2. I'm not good at styling doll hair at all. I tried curling a wig once and it was a disaster,so I'm afraid to try anything else like cutting or coloring a wig.

    3. I tried making a wig once... I found out I don't have the patience to work with mohair. As for styling, I have small scissors for snipping hair here and there but nothing major.

    4. I've cut two fiber wigs with reasonable success.. the other one, not so much.
I don't usually do too much with my dolls' hair except tousel the fur wigs sometimes. :sweat

    5. The frizzies drives me nuts sometimes. If there were a local hair salon for dollies I would totally take Celine there for styling. That would be awesome. Perhaps even a body blushing as well.....

    6. Once I have Chibi!Im here, I probably will... but I won't really know how well my braiding project worked out until I can see it on the little guy's head. ^_^

    7. I would want to but don´t know how. So if I see something I like, I would go to see tutorials from youtube or here.

    8. I make two ponytails on my dolls hair. Sometimes a braid, but mostly I buy the wig so it is the way I want it from the beginning :P

    9. I've trimmed a couple of wigs, and I've got a very long, very straight FMD wig for one of my dolls that I like to braid or tie back with a ribbon, but other than general maintenance and care, I don't really 'style' my dolls wigs.
