1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you remove hands and head when dressing/redressing?

Sep 23, 2015

    1. Depends on the outfit. If it's something with tight sleeves I'll slap on the hand paddles. If it's a turtleneck then I'll pop the head off because there's no way that's going on otherwise. Generally speaking, I keep them in one piece for costume changes.

    2. It depends on the type of clothes i'm trying to put on. Some tops don't have a zip or buttons so then I have no choice but to take the head off to get it on. Again it depends on the shape of their hands and how big the sleeves are, if the hands can get through safely I leave them on but if it looks too close a call then I'll take them off just to be on the safe side. It's a bonus when I don't have to remove the head or hands though.

    3. The nice thing about vinyl dolls is that it's very easy to change out the head and hands. In fact, it's pretty much required for getting certain outfits on and off. I don't think I'd like having to do that with s-hook hands, tho'.

    4. My humanoid dolls are all on vinyl bodies right now, and four of the five have vinyl heads, so yeah, I disassemble them a LOT. I'll pop off hands, feet, and heads on a regular basis, sometimes an entire arm or the upper torso. And yes, "pop" is absolutely the verb, because that's the sound it makes. XD

    5. It makes it easier to dress them so I have removed the head and hands should need arise.

    6. I never remove head to dress my dolls, but I often remove hands of my minifees)

    7. I truly don't believe you should have to remove the head or hands of a doll to dress them and that is something the clothes makers should be thinking about because I wont do it unless for repair, change out or something important

    8. I don't remove the hands or head because my doll wears all sleeveless or short sleeved shirts that just Velcro together at the back

    9. Since it's possible for me to dress my doll in such a way that I wouldn't need to remove his head nor hands, I don't. However, if I had constricting clothing that would make it impossible to do so, then... that would be the only time I'd consider doing so. For now, I've got no such clothing, so there you go.

    10. it depends on the doll ^-^ and the clothes for example my resin soul tiny has a really big head and would need it taken off however all of her clothes are dressed that can be slipped on hover her hips or tie on shirts and skirts of some kind
as for my other dolls most of them all have loose enough clothes that i can just put them off without removing their heads or hands^-^
and the one doll that dont have loose clothing i made his outfit so that i can unclasp in at the shoulder and take it off around his hips or over his head ^^
