It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Do you store things in your BJD's head?

Nov 5, 2013

    1. I think it would be helpful to put extra parts but I would want to be absolutely sure that the eyes did not get harmed!!!

    2. I never got the idea to store things in dolls head but damn...cool and little weird idea.

    3. I never considered doing anything like that, and I don't think I'd like to. Something might stain the resin or rattle around inside when you're playing with the doll... I dunno. Engraving your initials or the doll's name inside the head might be a good idea, though, especially if you're someone who likes to take them out in public places or to meets or something. It would be terrible to have a doll stolen but it would be a good identifying mark.

    4. This heavily reminds me of the movie, Inception, where people invade someone else's dream to plant a piece of object to change one's mode of thinking

It sounds like a fairy tale or some epic legend, haha

    5. I sometimes store extra eyeballs and tiny accessories.

    6. I've never kept other dolly things inside of a head, especially things like hands and eyes (I've tried but I hated the rattling sound), I've only put in money once and eye-putty a few times. But the identification slip does seem like a really smart idea!

    7. Funny! It has never occurred to me to do this! I don't really have any idea about what I would bother storing inside their heads though... So no, I don't think I will be doing this. Interesting idea though

    8. The only thing I do is store extra eye putty on the inside of his headcap :daisy

    9. I do, put the teeth part in my doll head (I have unoa chibi that have many teeth part) for easy find if I need to change when I want to.

    10. Actually I haven't done that. But that is a great idea!. You can hide small things (that you don't want others to find) in a BJD's head.
Though thinking that there's an extra hand, or pieces of little cigarettes in my doll's head every time I see her would creep me out a little bit xD
(you actually don't hide stuff in someone's head xD oh well)

    11. I think the only loose items I've ever really kept in heads is eyes... for instance Pan has a third eye mod, and I bought a pair of tiny tiny acrylic eyes to put in it... since there's only a spot for one extra eye, there have been times where I kept the spare eye just sitting inside her head. It's small and plastic so it wouldn't damage anything by rolling around in there. Also, my boy and my floating head just stay in their boxes since they aren't complete, and since I don't want to keep the eyes in their sockets and I don't want to leave their eyes in their box or anywhere else because it makes them harder to find, I just leave them loose in their heads... Doesn't cause a problem with rattling since I'm just storing them.

I really love the idea of leaving identification in their heads though! I've considered writing or carving identification on their headcaps like I know some people do but that idea is so scary to me... but it would be much better to just have a small object inside the head, maybe like taped or puttied to the inside of the headcap, for identification.

    12. What a great idea!

    13. Haha! What an awesome idea! I've actually never heard of anyone storing anything in their doll's heads, but I could understand storing little props like cigarettes or playing cards or something in there. I'll probably ending up looking for things to stash in my doll's head now XD

    14. That's a good idea, I never thought about it! I did get a floating head with the eyes and putty inside it. c:

    15. I had never thought of storing other things in the doll's head! Seems sensible enough if the items were maybe wrapped in something soft like tissue. I myself just store all my extra stuff in my BJD's box that they came in. To each his own!

    16. That is a very cool idea... wish I got purposed to like that... I didn't really get purposed to... it was a more like here here is this ring if you want to wear it.

    17. Never really thought about this..
You have just opened a whole new world for me ;)
I like your ideas and what you keep in their heads. Its really original so wrll done! X

    18. I think it was a cool idea

    19. Does storing extra eye putty count? xP I've really never considered doing that until now. o_o I really like the idea of storing something with the doll's name as well as the contact info inside their heads!

    20. My mother-in-law had one glass of wine too many and was like, "Here is his grandmother's engagement ring!" Then instantly told EVERYONE we were engaged. His only response was "Did I just save a bucketload of money?"
