1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you store things in your BJD's head?

Nov 5, 2013

    1. I have a piece of yarn in my doll's head for ease of moving the s-hook to remove her head from her body, but that's pretty much it apart from the eyes. I used to keep a little piece of paper with her name and my name in her torso cavity, but haven't put it back since I last restrung her.

    2. If I'm changing around a doll's eyes I tend to keep the eyes in their head so that they don't escape and get lost forever. Apart from that though, I don't really keep anything in there. None of my dolls have props that are small enough to easily fit in there and my doll stuff is pretty organized so that I don't lose anything.

    3. storing the piece of magic eraser in there is a great idea^^ great for accidents on the go~

    4. As Spock would say, "Fascinating."

The thought of putting ID info in their heads strikes me as a good idea. So does putting "thoughts" in their heads. I might put some thoughts in my doll's heads...

    5. I think it's a cute idea to put "thoughts" or "remembrances" in their heads. But I don't put anything in there myself. Mine are all air-heads.

    6. I don't store anything but I do write my name and year they came home.

    7. I don't, and I wouldn't have had the idea to do so xD

    8. I have put things inside cloth dolls I made. I do like the idea of "thoughts" or things related to the doll's personality inside their heads.

    9. I could never keep something in a dolls head.
What if it falls out? or gets caught in the S-hook? Guess im a little too paranoid :p

    10. I have two shales with horns, when I travel with them to meets and such I store the horn in there head so I dont lose them. But other wise. Not really. Maybe string for restring but again when I go to meets.

    11. The thought never crossed my mind until this topic, but now I'd like to take little slips of paper, write things on them and put them in their heads. I'd like to put thoughts in their little heads.

    12. A memory stick with an album of photos of them through their life always struck me as a cute idea. That way they could have their memories in their head! I've never actually got around to doing it though.

    13. I never 'store' anything in my doll's head. That's pretty disrespectful. I wouldn't want anyone storing their gear in my skull either. Hence storing material or spare parts in their head is a definite no-no to me. Surely it sounds innocent enough but I don't want any bad mojo when it comes to dolls. I swear my SD girl is quite disturbing sometimes, wouldn't want to anger her.

I do think adding scents or little trinkets that are like 'gifts' to the doll and represent their personality is quite nice. I'd be sure to wrap them in some soft cloth though to avoid damage to the resin. I have been playing with the idea of 'storing' a beautiful padded pouch with a certain scent, gemstones and runes that represent them and off course a name tag. I'm not sure how it'll interfere with their eyes though, wouldn't want them to shift because of the heavy pouch. But like I said my SD girl isn't very keen on the idea.

The head of tinies is way to small to properly store a lot of things so that will require some more thinking...

    14. Interesting, I never thought about it until just now. I like the symbolicalness of putting thoughts in their head though. Although I once adopted a Blythe girl with spare eye chips in her head, and it drove me nuts... so I think I will be leaving my BJD girls alone. ;)
