1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you Talk to your Dolls or Do you not Talk to your dolls?

Mar 28, 2013

    1. I don't think there is anything wrong with talking to your dolls. Lots of people talk amongst themselves all the time. Do whatever you find is comfortable even if it's a little bit at a time. My mom used to tease me (since I was a very chatty kid) and say "It's okay as long as they don't talk back."

.... She never did tell me what to do if they did, though. :)

    2. i dont have my bjd yet(she'll be here in a few weeks) but judging from how ive treated my other collectibles i dont think ill be talking to her so much as just adoring her and showing her off to everyone I know. and most definitely spamming facebook with lots of pics.

    3. I often speak to my dolls, especially when they don't pose how I want them to! Haha.

    4. I have a friend that talks to her dolls as though they are real people and have thoughts..I used to think it was odd. I don't really think that way now. She is who she is. I find myself talking to my dolls every now and again. I don't believe there is any harm in it. Don't let anyone tell you not to. Just enjoy your dolls.

    5. I figure if we talk to our pets; sometimes in high squeaky voices, why can't I talk to my dolls. I don't really have extended conversations but I do talk to them.

    6. I talk to my dolls when I am dressing them or when I am posing them. Just general comments like "this doesn't look good on you or blue eyes will look better on you", ect. Kind of like I talk to my pets, but I don't expect any response of course.

    7. I'm in the non-talking group, tho I will do it if my husband is around and I'm looking to yank his chain a bit. :)

    8. Sorry to hear about your life growing up :( that's a very sad life to live as a child.

If you want to talk to your dolls then go for it. Don't let anyone hold you back! Just have fun! :)

Now I talk to my birds lol XD though I can't say I will talk to my dolls. Its just not my thing. If I do talk to them it would be the typical "inanimate object" talk lol

    9. I think talking to your dolls is perfectly fine! I talk to myself, anyway, so talking to my doll is just an extension off that, I guess.

I'd just be careful and seek some sort of help if they start talking back. ._.

    10. I do when I'm trying to pose them and they're being disagreeable for sure. I don't talk to them like I talk to pets though. I'm not affectionate or anything like that.

    11. I talk to my dolls all the time and I'm a teenager ^.^. It doesn't bother me one bit that other people might think it's strange because it's what makes me happy. Growing up I was taught to always be creative and express yourself so it has carried on to later in life. My family and close friends support me so I don't see what would be wrong about it.

    12. The only time I ever "talk" to my dolls is if I'm cussing at them for being uncooperative for a clothing change/cleaning/maintenance/etc. The same goes for any inanimate object really

    13. 100% talk to him and my gf dolls how could you not :3

    14. I talk to mine too, even my floating head ^.^' but I mainly yell or scold them if I'm having trouble doing stuff for them (ie. restringing, doing a faceup, etc). I see no harm in it so why not?

    15. I sometimes talk to my doll when I wake up, or when I end up doing something with her. I almost dropped her and went "Oh no! And now you see, this is why you need an arm seat!" or something of that nature.

    16. ofc i do its fun and it gives them more character and its more fun that way ^w^

    17. I talk to my dolls.

My -CO-WORKERS- TALK TO MY DOLLS. If I bring them to work, my boss will always be like "Here, you do this" and drop a pile of games next to my doll (who sits on the back-counter with us) or "Make sure to keep an eye on [Wormwood] while I go in back" etc and stuff like that LOL
