1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you think the tiny market favors girl dolls too much?

Nov 13, 2012

    1. While window shopping for clothes for the tinies I'm waiting for I have definitely noticed the lack of male clothing. There are stores that sell jeans for them, which is good, but it seems most shirts are made for girl tinies and have feminine designs on them. Thankfully I'm more interested in the girl dolls but I can only imagine the difficulty in shopping for little boys u_u

    2. Rosen Lied's Monday's Child are ~17cm, and they make beautiful boys' clothing for them. It's a very distinct style, so it may not be your cup of tea. Crobidoll's T-lines are ~16cm, and while their clothing choices are limited, they do have a very cute boy's PJ set. Dollheart also occasionally put out boy's clothing in Lati Yellow/Pukifee sizes, ~15.5cm, though in general their clothing tends to be frilly, even for the boys. Fairyland themselves make boys clothing for their Pukifees; Denverdoll has an adorable jeans overalls and cap set in stock. Atelier Momoni and MonstroDesigns also sell very cute Pukifee/Lati Yellow clothing, and Crazykimochi here on DoA used to make adorable hoodies/pullovers for Pukifee (though I think she no longer makes them, but you can look on the MP once you have access), and, of course, others have also mentioned TTYA, Clear lan, Nubanded, Wcchouse, and etsy.

Luts has their Tiny Delfs listed as 16cm tall, and while that doesn't mean all clothing made for 16cm dolls will fit, there's a good chance most of them will. If you're looking for pants specifically, you can check the waist cirumference and leg length against whatever model the clothing are specifically made for, and see if the measurements are comparable to your Tiny Delf. It might be a little bit of extra work, but even when purchasing SD clothes, I often have to check sizes to make sure they fit, as I don't actually have a Volks SD or a Luts Delf, which are the most common sizes companies make their clothing for.

I think a very big plus to being part of DoA is that you can alway post a request on the Picture Request subforum for boy clothing fitting Tiny Delfs. That way, not only will you get an idea of which clothes fit them best, as well as where to get them, you'll also get a sense of which styles you like best. The Luts Tiny Delf discussion thread is also be a good place to check.

Also, as far as I know, the Tiny Delfs are a fairly new size for Luts, as well as being limiteds, so if they decide to continue producing this size, then it's very likely that their clothing selection will increase over time. While it's true that many of the clothes for tinies (27cm and under in my mind, but officially 35cm and under on DoA) are made with girls in mind, if you search around, you'll find that there are still a variety of clothing options out there for boy dolls of this size.

      Happy hunting!

    3. I actually like Victorian style clothing but I have a hard time finding that even, but i want my boy to have more than just that you know? Only DollHeart seems to carry a decent amount of boys stuff. Yeah i have the same sewing problem. My machine would suck up anything that tiny! It sucks really back.

    4. XD I love and hate that they cater to girls * having a girl tinie myself* there is too much want on my side ....... too many cute clothes for girls.........

    5. It makes sense in its own way. It's much easier to make tiny dresses than it is to make tiny pants. I shudder at the thought of getting a male PukiPuki (which I will, eventually). I get my boy clothes from nubanded. I also like TTYAcom. Both are Etsy shops. Dollygoround also has some cute boy clothes for tinies. The clothes are out there, they're just ... few and far between.

    6. omg I was just thinking this -_- I just got my 16cm in the mail a few days ago and it's supposed to be a boy, and I could hardly find anything for him. He currently has no pants atm due to this. He's wearing a sweater and socks and underwear that I think looks like a black diaper, which is okay cause he's a baby/toddler. But it really does bother me that I can't find any clothes for him :/
