1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

DoA Merchandise

Jun 26, 2016

    1. Not sure if this has ever come up before, but I got to thinking this might be a fun idea after reading through the thread about meeting BJD owners in real life. I never have met any before and I thought it would be neat if we all had a secret button or something fun that we all wore that could indicate we collected BJDs that way if we saw each other out and about in real life we would know we had fellow hobbyists and potential friends to make. This also got me thinking what a fun opportunity it would be to extend to the moderators and the talented artists we have here on the forum to not just design buttons, but also DoA merch that we could wear as t-shirts or hoodies or something fun. We could even have fun matching tees for our dolls. Is this something anyone has discussed before or would be interested in pursuing for DoA? I think it could be really fun and I would love at least a DoA button that we could all wear so that when I am out in the real world I have a way to know when my fellow BJD enthusiasts are nearby. Thoughts?

    3. DoA has t-shirts, bags and other goodies from time to time, usually near their anniversary (August I believe). It will typically be posted in the news section if/when available. :)

    4. Awesome! Thanks for letting me know! I'll keep a lookout.

    5. I do love the idea of buttons--this would be especially useful when trying to find other members at public meets or conventions. Proceeds could even go to keeping DoA up and running. Maybe mention it in Ask the Mods for an anniversary idea?

    6. I made a pin back button out of the logo from a doll box of my favorite company. So far no one has recognized or inquired about it, but I'd be happy if someone eventually were to. I would gladly sport a DOA badge if it were available. Sometimes there are tees, hoodies or totes, but I prefer a little accessory that can be repositioned. (Plus they could do doll-size mini pins..!)

    7. I love the idea of being able to connect with others in person. Wonder if we could start a Meet-Up (Meet-Up is a International Online Organization where people can meet in person around a interest in public places.) They have meet-ups for all sorts of interests ie knitting, movies, personal philosophy etc. If there are BJDers in the area - it would be a way to find and connect with each other. :)

    8. Gosh I'd love to make a button or badge to wear around. =D What a neat idea!

    9. Pins would be so cool since I like to collect them. I usually have a couple of them on my bag that I always carry.

    10. Pins would be a great idea! That way you could wear them all the time no matter what you're wearing. I also collect pins so it would be fun!

    12. Awesome idea! Personally I'd love a phone case since I pretty have it on me all the time. And like other people said, small & easy to carry like buttons/pins/keychains are a great idea.

    13. I think a button/pin would be a great idea! I would support that and even buy a couple of extras for meet up and such. Of course I would only pass them out members of the forum.

    14. Um . . . maybe you haven't looked around DoA's Community section yet? https://denofangels.com/forums/bjd-meetups.17/

    15. That sounds like a fantastic idea. It would have to be a crowdfund, I'm sure, but I would 100% contribute to this idea. I'd love some DoA merch! I think I'd love a DoA shirt for a dolly. That would be cool and a matching one for me. Even just something as simple as a pin would be great!

    16. I'd love to be involved in this. Part of me is kind of terrified of this idea, mostly because I don't want us to walk around like being in the BJD hobby is equivalent to being in a no-good-business cult because we're trying to secretly catch each others attention. We're not scary people and we're not weird for liking dolls. There is probably a high chance that a person you meet will have had a doll or something equivalent to it, such as a favorite toy or stuffed animal. We're actually relatively average, if not extraordinary.

I understand being uncertain about who to approach about BJD topics makes for a scary situation, but hoping someone notices a BJD button is sort a nerve-wracking situation to be in. You'd also have to consider people not in the BJD hobby.

What do we want the merchandise to portray? I'd love it if our merchandise showed the creativity and the dedication of people in this hobby. We create works of art and that is something to be proud of.

    17. This sounds cool, though I kinda-of watch a DoA or BJD patch instead of the buttons or pin (Since I think it would look so cool on bags or doll carriers and it would be a bit bigger). It would be cool to see and other merchandise would probably look amazing as well.

    18. T-shirts with the DoA logo on them was what I was thinking of. Maybe pay a little extra to have all your dolls names put on the back. That'd be pretty fly.

    20. There were official DoA Big Girl Panties, but these are probably not what you want to wear in public.
