1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Does anyone have a Floating Head collection with fewer bodies?

Apr 12, 2015

    1. I've been feeling overwhelmed by having too many dolls to buy/make things for too OP. So I've been collecting the doll heads I really love, but don't necessarily have a character for. I don't have a way to display them all yet, but I'm planning on it.

    2. I have floating heads, yes I do like he concept of it. It does save space too (if you consider the doll, the box etc). the only prob is you are so tempted to buy a body for it.... The only thing is colour matching; I found difficult, and if you find a body you like then it arrives and does not match at all !!

    3. At the moment, more floating heads then full body dolls. Mostly due to the costs, I can afford to buy the head and then the body at a later date else sometimes I can't get the doll.

    4. I can understand the worry of starting a Floating Heads collection. I have a floating head and, though she has no body, she has a name and a background. It annoyed me no end at the start, now I am used to it and just store her out of sight when I don't practice face up on her or want to look at her.
I have 2 incoming floating heads. One will share a body with a current doll and the other has been bought to have no body (though I have been looking for one :doh). I don't like the feeling of heads without bodies but it is a great way to 'have without having' and it is useful if space/money becomes temporarily scarce and time restricted by having too many bodies to sew for. Moreover, some heads are 'non-starters' (i.e. they look good on company pictures but are disappointing at arrival) and are not worth further financial input.

    5. Yes haha ! I have two floating heads that are waiting for a body ; $
