1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll Dealer Name suggestions?

Nov 17, 2015

    1. Hah, this is such a last resort because I'm so rubbish at this but hello, I am the most indecisive person on the planet.

So as a long story cut short... it's actually a really interesting story how this happened, but I may have sort of .. accidentally ... uh, wandered into LUTS HQ in Korea, thinking it was a shop, met the web-master, who told the staff I'd arrived from England, it got round the office, and the CEO asked to meet me because he was so excited I'd popped in .. anyway, I ended up in a marketing meeting, and he asked me to be the UK official dealer for LUTS......

      I... I only went in to buy a doll ... D:

SO NOW I NEED A NAME.

I kind of want it elegant, but also really memorable. Like SoulDoll is so memorable, Dollmore is simple and easy ... I know this seems a bit cheeky but does anyone have any suggestions? I feel like this is a really difficult and important task.

My boyfriend suggested "The Ruby Celesta" but it's quite similar to a book character, Ruby Celeste.

    2. Well, your screen name is Cupcake... so how about the Icing on the Cake, or some fancy French word for icing or desserts?

    3. Haha, what a turn of events!
I think keeping "doll" or "bjd" in the name is a good idea, so people can identify your relation to the hobby more easily. Also, whatever you pick, do a quick Google search first just to be sure it isn't already associated with something else. Hehe. :3nodding:
      Best of luck!

    4. I read your story in the introductions. What a great thing to have happen! :) Agree that having "doll" or "bjd" in the name is a good idea. Good luck with your new venture!

    5. How about Dollure? As in an amalgam of doll and allure (and also because these dolls lure you in :P ). Good luck with your new dealership!

    6. Also agreeing that having "doll" or "bjd" in the name is a good idea. I feel like I probably miss out on a lot of lesser known good shops because I don't realize they're BJD related and/or they don't show up in search results when I look for "bjd".

Another suggestion, though it's totally a preference thing, is...maybe nothing with "angel" in it? Not that there's anything wrong with angels, but I think between Angel of Dream, Angel Street, Angell Studio, Angel Fantasy, Angelheim, Angelsdoll and all the other angel related names out there, it might be confusing to some, or might just blend in and not really draw attention.

    7. That is awesome, I hope you have a great time being a dealer!

I'm surprised "BJDWizard" has yet to be used.

    8. Whatever possibly names you come up with, be sure to Google them first! You don't want your shop to show up in the same search results as something sketchy (especially since it will take some time before your shop shows up first in the list)... It is always better if the name is easy to spell and remember. The more words in the shop name, or more bizarre/exotic it is, the more difficult it will actually be for people to remember! For example, I almost always forget that Angell Studio has two l's in the name or that La Legende de Temps (probably just spelled it wrong!) is actually a doll company.

    9. I agree with some of the others. Simple and direct is best for the customer. You can always have a sweet, elegant motto that you can use under a really simple name to give the shop the feel that you want.

Something like "Avenue of Dolls" or "Doll Village" or "The Resin Wizard" or "BJD Bouquet" Haha! Perhaps a little cheesy, but sweet and to the point. I'm just throwing stuff out there.

      ;)

Good luck though! What a cool thing to have happen!

    10. Probably something with Doll or BJD or Resin in the name. Maybe something straightforward like Dollydealer, or more unique like Dollway, Resinstreet, or something.
I did like "Dollure" in one of the previous comments, that's the best one I've heard so far :D

    11. Dollipop >.>

    12. Wow, thats really cool.
Good luck with your new position,

I think for a name you could use AmeDoll (i don't speak french, but it means soul)
or BonBon Doll, since your name is candy on here! <3
You should double check the names, I'm really new to BJDs so I'm not sure about all of the companies out there.

      anyways!
good luck figuring out a name.
