1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll Family A Discussion - part 2

Jan 12, 2015

    1. Hello! Has anyone tried hybriding one of the Doll Family-A SD sized male bodies with a Fairyland Feeple60 head? I have a Feeple60 Chiwoo ordered and I'm thinking of getting the 56cm male body.

    2. My Nick arrived, I got her on the 68cm female body, I decided to name her Yao.
I noticed 1/3 male clothes fit her fine, the pants are just a bit short, I should probably get some pants specifically for 70cm dolls.

Completely blank still. I wasn't sure she'd be what I expected because the Nick faceup is a bit heavy, and the artistic pictures not very clear, but it is a beautiful sculpt and quite expressive.

    3. Congrats on her arrival!! I have the 68cm girl body at home too and I found that SD16 pants from AC fit perfectly from the proportions and pantleg lenght. I don't post her in this thread because she had a Dollzone head. If you like I can take her off the shelf and take a few full body pictures.

    4. Do you think male SD17 would fit? I saw some for sale but I was worried about the hips and torso length and couldn't find a good size chart.
She has the small bust, in case it makes a difference, I actually thought it would be smaller but it's not as noticeable with clothes on anyway.

    5. Maybe? She's a pretty slim build, mine has the small bust too and I have a modified SD16 shirt on her (I added straps to the side to pull the shirt more form fitting). I can't say for pants though, as my boy dolls all fit into SD13 or 70cm Uncle pants, I don't even know if I have any SD17 pants...

    6. I was planning to give her a boyish look, so long pants and shirts maybe even a full formal suit, that's probably not sold for female dolls and it'll likely need adjustments to fit right.

Which do you think will fit better between SD17 and SSDF? Luts is on the slim side and looks like it might be a closer match.

    8. Does anyone know the Neck Circumference of the DFA Practice head from Alice Collection? I recently got mine not too long ago and was wanting to get a bust stand for it to sit on.

    9. I think it's a mini, I got one and is pretty small, but if you have one can't you just measure it yourself?

    10. I suppose so but I just wanted to make sure if it's right or not I just didn't want to end up getting a wrong bust size. I'd feel more comfortable if someone else could confirm it is all, but I guess its 9cm or 9.5cm probably.

    11. I wasn't sure because this is the Large Dolls discussion forum.
No it's more like 8cm, or less, 9 would be too big. Unless you're willing to sand it down, or enlarge the neck hole, but it might still have the wrong proportions.

    12. Thank you, I'll look for Bust with at least 8 or 9cm then.

    13. Which grade of paper did u use for that?

Also, thank you @Nefla I was looking for owner pics of the DFA 70cm body and yours were perfect ❤️ (I know has passed a year, but thank you anyways)

@ninive is that white skin? I know I read somewhere that DFA white skin is paper white but maybe I'm wrong (I've reading a lot of threads these days) and I just want to be sure xD

Edit: it's getting easier to buy clothes for the DFA 70cm body? I'm not sure between said body or LS 73cm, I'm gathering info yet D: I love the two bodies and idk how to break the tie

    15. Yes it's white skin, DFA actually seem to carry two different types but not every dealer has both and it's not labeled very well either. If you order from acbjd that's the type of white you'll probably get.
It actually looks almost creamy against actual paper, it doesn't have a blue component, but it is very white in person and tends to reflect light in pictures.

    16. does anyone have Switch MB they can compare to a Tan or Light Tan DF-A body? I really like their bodies/resins but wanted to see if it was in an acceptable range.

    17. In the case of DF-A, if you pay an additional fee, you can combine it with the skin color you want. In some cases, famous companies are already in harmony. I tend to use TAOBAO. It was more friendly to buy from other TAOBAO stores than to buy from their headquarters. (Sometimes they give discounts) Rather, it seems that the headquarters did not have the option to choose skin from other companies. I think we need to coordinate with the seller.Switch MB is this option : SNG(=Switch’s previous Name)MB
      I use 爱の发源地BJD娃店 in Taobao

    18. yeah i know they do resin match but they require a sample being sent. I just want to see what their tan they already sell is like and compare. I know Doll Legend pink is a great match for switch RW or DOD normal pink. tans are just all over the place.... my back up is prime frame Nutt as that seems to use the same tan formula.

    19. @Nearachan I can't answer your specific question, but just wanted to add that DFA only requires a sample for colors they don't already have on file, and I believe they have samples for mocha brown.

    20. thank you! that's good to know. I'll keep that in mind but the problem with switch MB is that they vary....its even hard to match with their own mb color....lol..... also why im content with a close enough match vs perfect.
