I commissioned it from Alice's Collections Since they do custom measurements for your dolls. Here's the original outfit: Boy Outfits, BJD Outfits - BJD Accessories, Dolls - Alice's Collections
I had nostalgic feelings and I just have to post these here. I really can't believe I'm trying to sell my Lyndon when I love this head so much. It's perfect for the character but too big :/ This character just keeps getting smaller and smaller... So many good memories tho ^^ 2nd faceup 1st faceup
*waves* Did you ever order this head? I missed the event but Alices are still listing the head for sale, which I'm very happy about! Just a week after ordering 2 of them, they're shipped! I chose free airmail shipping though so they'll be a while - I'm really looking forward to creating my two anime girls, Miyuki and Kiyoko
I did! It's such a cute sculpt I hybrided mine on an older sd13 body. She still doesn't have a face, but I made her some eyes IMG_5103 by Katherine, on Flickr I can't wait to see your girls!
yay! oh wow she's so cute even with no faceup! Now I'm really excited to get mine Those eyes are brilliant too - I never thought of making eyes myself - how did you do it?
The eyes were really easy I just used GIMP to make some eye images, and printed them out on photo paper. Then I used some of those bottle cap clear stickers to make the domes. They work pretty well (can't argue with 20+ pairs for a few dollars lol), especially for testing colors/sizes, but they have some bubbles from the glue and the flatness of the stickers make them look a bit dull from far away. I'm tempted to try some high quality glue and glass cabochons on my next attempt
They must have pre-made some heads for their anniversary event. I ordered two of the Xing practice head about three weeks ago from Jeeryama, and they just shipped. I look forward to practicing eyelashes.
@SpottyJane Nice, that's fast! I love how available and inexpensive these heads are I feel like it really takes the stress out of customizing/experimenting. Plus they are cute to boot!
It really is great! I worry about unintentionally destroying my regular heads, so it's wonderful to have a head I can wipe 100 times if I need to. I bought two of the Xhuang practice head two years ago, and liked them too much to practice on.
Got my Anthony heads today in the mail! I love the shade of 'pink' too - And it's good to have another project doll to work on - will keep me occupied for a while I hope, especially since it's twins! The name Yukino kept sticking in my head so I've dropped Miyuki as a name - they choose their own names these dollies and there's no use arguing with them Doll Family-A 'Anthony' by elve, on Flickr
Very cute and a nice shade of pink. @elve please show your project progress or link to your journal if you make one. I know about these guys naming themselves. I have a few who won't tell me who they are until they get their faceups.
thanks that's a great idea - a project journal would keep me on task but I am inclined to FAIL big time and hate commitment, so I don't know if the pressure might be too much LOL *wimp alert* thanks I hope I don't disappoint will be slow progress though since I am strapped for cash permanently now! Was a bit naughty buying anything dolly related but hey - I'm human and we all have our vices
I gave my Anthony my second faceup ever! The first was on my hujoo nano freya, and it was...bad. It's pretty unprofessional with her uneven lashes and eye paint, and her blush looks more like a sunburn lol. But.... I'm still very proud of her; I tried my best, and I think she's quite the cutie! oh that's such a coincidence I just bought my doll (not sure if I can afford twins so I'm just doing one for now) some purple anime eyes from mimiwoo on ebay - which reminded me about this thread - and I wondered if you'd painted up your girl - and YOU HAVE!!! awww she is a real cutie I love the faceup - very well done indeed! I was wondering what to do for a mouth and I really like yours - perfect I've not painted mine yet *dread* but I have at least got her wig, eyes and body! Just got a cheapo from mirodoll in the end as due to the terrible exchange rate in the UK now, a cheapo from mirodoll isn't even that cheap any more *sigh*
Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows if Doll Family - H 70 cm heads would fit and look proportionate on the 65 cm body? I really love the Lang Ya head, but hate how the body he comes with looks. The neck sizes are the same, but I'm not sure if he'll look like a bobble head on such a smaller body.
