hellohappy -- your Mint is sooo cute! All the little darlings posted on here are super. I took my Fay on a shopping trip with me to our Good Will Thrift Store {the GW Boutique} ~ She made lots of friends, and has a good eye for bargains. ^^ ... Her hair got a bit tussled by the end, and she went without shoes because I was afraid we might lose them during some hurried posing. fROM THe real photograph in the store, to our imaginations... She is named for my mother, Fay Iris. edit, whoa! If this size is overwhelming, let me know & I will adjust it.
I'm getting impatient for my Fay. Hopefully only another month. I can already tell she's going to be very spoiled (eyes, two outfits, a pair of shoes, and I just ordered a wig for her) on top of the full set I ordered her with. Anyone willing to share some more photos of the dolls with me to ease my impatience?
Oh, sure! Last year at Octopodicon, Mousekin found a stuffed toy Totoro that matched her fairy outfit, so of course I had to buy it for her: IMG_4397 par Lynn Yates, on ipernity
Mousekin is super cute! She sure looks happy with her Totoro. Odd, and newbie-ish question: Why is this line referred to as DS sometimes? I noticed it on the wiki for Doll Leaves as well.
I think it's to distinguish it from Doll-Love, which is usually abbreviated DL ( although I could be wrong ).
My teenage doll from Doll Leaves has a DS engraved stamp at the back of her head cap. That might be the reason why we use the acronym DS for Doll Leaves in this hobby.
I can hardly wait till I receive my shipping order from Doll leaves. I ordered a full set Acorn and a nude Doll Fay. Want my baby's home soon. :}
Hope so too as that sounds like a nasty mess. :{ Even my mom was all 'How can you lose something like that'. :}
Oh I just opened my Rialia, and found this Is this normal? The magnet is poking up through the resin... IMG_8166 by Estes 'n Anne, on Flickr
I love everyones photos of Mint. Before I started with bjds, I had collected Riley from Kish and a bunch of clothes and props. She is a 7 1/2in doll. I was thinking that maybe some of that stuff may work on these dolls even if they are taller. I have some cute jackets, sweaters etc. I know Mint has a much larger head and can probably wear some of my pukifee 5/6 wigs. Would anyone know a doll (or Mint) that would work with some of Riley stuff?
Hm. It might be possible. I admit I'm not familiar with the Kish dolls ( never hand an interest in dolls until I discovered bjds ) but I have put Mousekin in a Madame Alexander dress, which fit a bit short but pretty well otherwise: IMG_5119 par Lynn Yates, on ipernity Some of the Kish clothing may fit, some may be too big or too short. Finding clothes for these dolls is an adventure in its self! Anything for dolls in the 8 inch/20cm height range, or close to it, is worth a try.
