Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. He is making a new doll at the moment. I don't know if he means Oscar or a doll in a new size. In November, he was planning to offer Oscar in December or January. He plans to offer tan sometimes next year too, though he doesn't know when.

      @Scissorhand, Ouch! I've just bought some SD17 clothes for the Dollits D.A.D. expecting them to fit.:doh.
      It sounds like the D.A.D. is going to be a body-to-sew-for. I had hoped it wasn't going to be the case. Well, hopefully, they'll kind of work with one of my girls. Though the pants...

      I hope tan won't be some "quantity limited" or "period limited" thing. I would love to see a mature woman from him in tan. :blush

      And in other news, I've gotten face-up previews on my Rey. It's almost worth the four months wait!

    3. in case you hadn't caught it in his info... JB is a one man operation with the dolls. ONLY he makes them dolls. So he kinda 'has' to do limited runs since he is the only person doing it. He has stuff like outfits and make up done by others. it's why he can't make huge numbers of dolls. So expect some kind of 'limit'. He hopes in future to be able to hire 'staff' but that is not right now.

    4. Lady Tiku In other words anything sold out now is gone for good? Or is there still hope for a restock of Hyun in the long run? He's been on my list from the start, but all the dolls on the site seem sold out now >< I really hope J Baek is only taking a break and keeps making his DAD sculpts...

    5. I have no idea what JB 'can' do... I imagine his priority is 'Oscar' ... the new head guy... and I doubt he will want to make too many different' dolls. Assume you can't get it "now"... but i future who knows? He is still in 'building mode' for his business. Maybe when he is more established and can afford to hire staff he can open up choices more... but for now if you like it and can... nab it I say. Think of them like 'artist dolls'... here while he has the time to make them gone when he doesn't... "maybe" back again later... it's too early and he has not said anywhere I can find that 'blah' doll is gone for good etc... he has a face book page (the company)... ask him! ^^

    6. *shock* I've never thought of Dollits as a one-man company which could disappear in a blink of an eye.
      I do hope he'll offer the D.A.D. one more time, with or without a head. I was planning an hybrid with it. I waited for him to create a head which fitted with my other dolls in case the hybridisation wasn't good enough. I assumed, him having worked for 'big' companies, that he'd keep at it as long as was necessary to build a lasting brand.
      I'll be buying Oscar, that's for sure!

    7. lol I didn't mean to imply he was going out of business... I just meant he has not been operating by himself to have reached the level where he can 'expand'... all I meant is give him time to grow but don't expect 'mass' production for a long while. one man can only make so man dolls at a time! And being an artist I would doubt he would make one doll and just stick to that... also by changing/adding new sculpts he is expanding his buyer base. And if ppl like us spread the word... of an already popular artist.... the more known he is the more demand and then the possibility of growing his business also increases... but if you like the ones now... get them... but remember.. he may make many more you love ;p.

      I had a look at Mr Baek's Korean Blog, and he is promoting the 60th Dollfree Market in Seoul. It is taking place on the 19th and 20th December 2015. I've no idea if he is taking part, but if he is, it could be the reason why he is not taking any orders at the moment. I know Dollmore will be there. So it must be quite a big thing.

    11. @Jany, @Dayme, if you go to DOLLITS - 돌리츠에 오신 것을 환영합니다!, click on the 'English' tab, you have a page with an extreme left column headed by ' favourite' in red, below ' order tracking', then a list of links including one to facebook and twitter. Click on the green circle with a white 'b' inside. This will get you to Mr Baek's Korean blog.

      @Jany, @Dayme, Mr Baek has some pictures of Oscar in his Korean blog, though none are very recent. In the extreme left hand side, you'll find the mention of Dollits between hearts and below 'D.A.D.'. If you click on D.A.D., you'll find some pictures of Oscar. He has another picture that you can find by clicking on the word 'blog' below his heading picture (at the moment, it is showing Hyun). If you go down the main column, you'll find another picture of Oscar underneath the 'interview with Mr Baek' section. Oscar is shown at a slight angle.

      Sorry for the long winded explanations. I wish that Mr Baek had taken the time to post more pictures of Oscar on Flickr for instance.

      are you on facebook? he has both a personal page and one for Dollits. Also he is one flickr too I follow there too >< I'ce seen pice of Oscar in both of those places... just hadn't paid enough attention to realize it was a different/new face :sweat

    15. Found the blog! Thanks so much Lilla! & Although Oscar's sculpt is simply amazing, I'm really not loving him as much as I love Hyun T_T Hyun was just perfect for me, but I never had the funds to invest in him :(
      Today I posted on the Dollits Q&A practically begging J Baek for a Hyun restock. I'll post his answer on here when I get it!

      Best of luck concerning Hyun, he is a favourite of a friend of mine. :3nodding:. I like Hyun and Rey equally, but, in my mind, they are difficult sculpts to handle. I see Oscar as having the potential of being an 'easy' sculpt which can accept a number of personalities. Fingers crossed. I would feel safer in my choice if I could see more pictures. :XD:
      Mr Baek doesn't do advertising on a grand scale, does he? :/

      I received a reply on the Dollits Q&A about a possible Hyun restock. The answer I received is better than anything I ever hoped for. J Baek says:

      Huh??? Who would bother, he just hasn't enough dolls to make it interesting!

      I find it disappointing. Couldn't he have offered Oscar for sale?
      Well, this is the last nail in the coffin. I am not buying any further dolls this year.
      My hybridisation projects will have to wait. I'll be looking for the right doll now, rather than looking for bodies for my heads.

      But I am just overly happy about Hyun being available again, so I'm probably going to get him on layaway during the event...
      Do any of you know how Dollits' layaway program works? I asked on the Q&A as well.

      Too bad Oscar didn't show up for the Winter event :(

    20. I have never dealt with Dollits' layaway program, I'm afraid. He should come back to you quickly, after all, he has an event up. If he doesn't, an email would do the trick. I sent an email both in Korean and English and it did the trick (google translation has its use :3nodding:).
      It is an okay event for people who already had planned to buy one of the current dolls + some more dolls/heads/bodies in the future. But it isn't enough for people like me who are on the fence regarding a body for which it is difficult to find clothes that fit perfectly (just looking at Dollits' offerings and it put me off finding clothes for the D.A.D.body) and who expected to see the new head for sale.

      Saying that, at least you can get Hyun.
