1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollmore Banji What Clothes, Wigs and eyes fit?

Jan 26, 2006

1. BTW, for those in the U.K., Argos sell the Mini Barbie Princesses for £9.99 each.

2. As those that have received their dolls will have noticed, the Banji girl is quite *detailed* - now I'm not a prude, but I think it would be nice for the poor girl to have some panties! Any idea where I could get some? Tiny Betsy has a 3" waist, so that's a bit too big.

Also, can anybody clarify whether Elfdoll shoes *will* fit on a Banji? And if so, where I can buy them, especially the boots shown here, as Elfdoll.com don't have any in stock atm, despite the new clothes available.

Liz

3. I bet those Kelly undies would fit - their a tiny bit big on my elfdoll and have elastic. I got a full frontal on a 60cm Narae and was I very shocked at what I saw (lets just say the detail was a bit more than I've ever seen) and thos banji's give me a narae vibe so I'm almost not surprised

I do hate being the bearer of bad news but...those boots are the girl's feet - you swap out her bare feet and calves and replace with the boots part. I have a lovely pair that I haven't tried yet as the best I've done with my girls is replace for other optional feet. Don't worry - I'll soon break down and get a banji boy and be on a cobbling spree. He's a little bigger than an elfdoll and shoes should be a little easier on me.

4. I think those boots are actually the sculped on optional boot part for the elfdoll tinies...

...either that or my computer is routing me to the wrong page again! >_<

5. Ok...after I found I was able to sew pretty darn good for something as tiny as a banji I decided to add his/her size to my shop :) So Ill be selling little packs of panties/undies for both boys and girls. It will be up by next week! If you go in the PS gallery you can see pictures of the outfit I made little Edward. Of course I will show you all the panties later! ~ ♥♥

PS: boots ARE sculpted on :( I know I wanted some lol

6. Well at least the Banji aren't blushed like the 60cm Narae is! I had a look at Kelly clothes on eBay last night, and couldn't see any knickers in the sets, but I could always buy a low end Kelly, and then give the doll to a charity shop!

I did see the boot feet under Elfdoll optional parts, but they were flesh coloured - I presume one paints them black, etc.? The mini Pullip Noir comes with boots (we've been thinking of buying one and using the dress), but I think her feet would be smaller than a Banji's.

Thanks for the heads-up Rosa :-)

7. Oh cool, I will keep an eye out for those! And Valentina is fairly gothic, so I look forward to seeing any outfits you put up for sale for a girl Banji - I did like Edward's outfit :-)

Liz

8. Oh, and for U.K. Banji owners, I noticed last night that there's a couple of U.K sellers on eBay with the Strawberry Shortcake Ski Day and Rainy Day outfits - one's starting price was only 99p!

Liz

9. I've just discovered that Dawn (Pippa in the U.K.) was a similar size to Banji - 6.5 inches, just under an inch taller - so some of the tops, shorter dresses, etc. may fit. I'm going to see what I can find on eBay and report back after I've tried the clothes on my Banji :)

Liz

10. Oooooh excellent!!! I know Dollmore has some separates for the Banji boy on her website--the little black-and-grey stripe-y shirt is adorable!!:D

11. I thought the dawn/pippa stuff was a perfect fit for elfdoll tinies? They are WAY thinner than a banji. I know I've seen their outfits on someone's Catsy....

12. Are elfdolls thinner than Banji? The latter has a 2 inch waist!

Liz

13. I've just checked the comparison photos thread, and I see what you mean about Banjis being thicker waisted, drats :-/

Thanks for the heads-up though!

Liz

14. Sorry to burst your bubble... yeah torso wise Banji's are closer to AGA Fairies, actually they are a tiny bit wider than those fairies... they look so much more robust that the elfdoll tinies.... I think that's why I really want one....

:)

15. Here are Dawn's measurements - I got them here:
http://www.persephone.com/dawn/trivia.html#Measurements

Shoulders 2.5 cm
Bust 7 cm
Waist 4 cm
Hips 7.5 cm
Shoulder to wrist 4 cm
Underarm to waist 2 cm
Leg (to ankle) 8.5 cm
Leg (to toe) 10 cm
Head & neck height 3.5 cm

For comparison, here are Elfdoll and Banji measurements:
You can see even Elfdoll's waist is bigger than Dawn's. However Elfdoll and Banji's busts are smaller than Dawn's bust, so they might fit in Dawn items that are loose at the waist and hips such as A-line or empire styles.

Elfdoll Measurements (large bust)

Height: 14cm = 5.5 in
Head: 9 cm = 3.54 in
Bust: 6 cm = 2.36 in
Waist: 5 cm = 1.97 in
Hip: 7 cm = 2.76 in
Arm length (shoulder to wrist): 3.3cm = 1.30
Arms extended straight across to fingertips: 11 cm = 4.3 in
Wrist: 2 cm = .79 in
Thigh: 4 cm = 1.54 in
Leg length (hip to ankle): 7 cm = 2.76 in
Ankle: 2 cm = .79 in
Foot: 1.8 cm = .71 in
Collarbone to waist length: 2 cm = .79 in
Collarbone to hip length: 4 cm = 1.54 in
Collarbone to ankle length: 10 cm = 3.94

Banji Measurements

- Height : 5.7 inch (14.47 cm)
- Head : 3 inch (7.62 cm)
- Bust : 2.4 inch (6.1 cm)
- Waist : 2.4 inch (6.1 cm)
- Hip : 3 inch (7.62 cm)
- Foot : about 7/8 inch (2 cm)

BTW - I bought a couple of 1:12 "Pretty Gowns" made by this lady in Scotland - I do not know if they will fit Banji. Most of her gown descriptions say: "This is made up from my new unique dress pattern. It is open from the back waist to neck and fastens at the top with a loop and bead. It will fit almost any dolls house doll as the fullness is easily adjusted."

edit - they are too big on Banji.

16. I have loads of Pippa clothes ...I collected them before BJDs
they do look OK on Elf , a little big on the waist but OK ,I dont think they would be OK for Banji though

17. Argos (UK chain store) have a deal on the mini princess atm - two for £15, so my husband was nice enough to pick up the Rapunzel and Erika sets at Tottenham Hale for me this evening on the way home. I'm going to ask Arkady for help in modifying the sleeves, and perhaps to add some tulle as an underskirt, and then Valentina can play dress-up as a princess :chibi

18. Hmmm, wondering if they would fit Banji?? As I remember my own Dawn dollies, they were awful thin and about Banji's height, maybe a tad taller.

Perhaps I will scout ebay and try some for myself:)

19. Think they would work for tiny Elfdolls too then? They seem to be similar in size and proportion to Banji. (I can't sew, but my Mom can. XD )
