Ah darn! I like the smaller eye look better; she looks more aware and less shocked doll. I wonder if Dollmore will let me change the eye size I ordered from 28 to 26?
I can hardly tell the difference. When I get the money, I'm definitely buying them. Hopefully they won't get all sold out by then haha
I don't blame you for wanting to buy those eyes, they are really lovely. I'm so anxious to get my girl, hopefully Dollmore ships her soon.
My tan Mokashura should arrive today. I am very excited to see her. FF&D has a couple in stock. Iris gave me my choice of wig colors and I picked the carrot wig- it looks pretty on the Dollmore site photos. We'll see if she likes it better than the brown one I have waiting for her.
Kitty: Fingers crossed she ships soon! Kadepie: Ahh, exciting! I can't wait to see pictures! I got the carrot with my girl. It's a lovely wig. Nik's wearing it until I can finish her dread wig.
She's here and she's so pretty! Dollmore sent her with some light green glass eyes so the carrot wig didn't work very well for me. She stole Mindy's blue eyes and was happy with the brown bang Monique wig I bought. I will have to put pics up tomorrow since I completely changed Mindy's look tonight. The carrot wig fits both girls better than the original short blond one that came with Mindy. I put some brown acrylics in Mindy and gave her the carrot wig. I just need a name for the new girl. I wonder why the suntan version came with glass eyes but Mindy came with acrylics?
kadepie: Congrats on your new arrival! Pictures please of the tan girl! The eyes question is interesting. Dollmore told me the suntan one would come with acrylic! :O
Ok, here's the first shot. I'm not really liking the small irises in her eyes so she may go to brown acrylic until I can get glass ones.
that tan is gorgeous! Love the jacket is that Dollmore or and SD jacket? I've found that some SD clothing works for this girls.
Kadepie: Oh that tan is just delish! She's ADORABLE. I agree, those eyes are a bit "deer in headlight", what a pity, they are a lovely color. Are they 28mm glass ones from Dollmore? how odd. My girl has eyes almost like that color and they don't look that small in her. Speaking of... someone gave me a broken porcelain doll from a yard sale we had together. She knew I collected dolls and I told her I sometimes steal their clothes. Well this dress fit Nik LIKE A GLOVE. So cute! Here's a close up: https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd...._=1424896433_5a800ffbb653b624f48396aab23b6fc5 I love finding clothes that fit dolls in odd places. I'll have to put her in this dress for Christmas decor hehe. I had to take her hands off which was a pain (I don't know where I put that little flamingo tool boo) but then I decided to just cut a seam at the end of the sleeves to get it back off lol
I'm highly considering changing the character for my Mokashura. I originally planned for her to be a time traveler, all kinds of steam punk type stuff... now I'm wondering if I shouldn't reshell an old character that was my first doll... a demon trapped in a child's body, rather goth like but very cute. I think steam punk is cool but I'm not sure I'm as into it as I am more dark/goth stuff... decisions decisions. haha
fabulous! thank you I may have to look at some of their stuff, arent they around the same size as American Girl Dolls...I had thought the clothes would be too big? great find! ugh even with the little flamingo tool its a pain to get the hands on and off I was redressing my doll at Dollism and when I was trying to put her hand back on the elastic slipped and shot up her arm, pieces went everywhere..luckily I always carry a ribbon with my dolls just for these occasions..lol.
American Girl and Journey Girl aren't the same clothing size. Journey Girl dolls are considered a slim 18" doll. Their tops and jackets are too tight on the stuffed cloth AG bodies. Some of the JG shirts are a little long on Mokashura but the jackets and sweatshirts are working just fine.
Oh man, good thing! I ended up using some key rings I had laying around haha. I'll probably just make sure sleeves are big enough next time, super pita. That makes sense. I got my daughter a Walmart brand doll and tried to put Journey Girl clothes on it... totally too small. I was disappointed as I got a "dollie and me" set for her to match her doll but the outfit for both her and the doll were on the small side. I bet they'll have some Journey girl stuff on sale for black friday! I hope at least. They have a SUPER cute bed...
Kadepie, Congrats. The tan skin looks fantastic. Call Me Stephanie, I love Nik's dress, it's so perfect for the season.
