1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollmore Narsha and Friends Discussion Part 2

Jul 25, 2011

1. Does anybody know of any sellers or companies besides dollmore that sell clothes to fit these cute lil dolls? Most of the clothes I own for my narsha hang off her and I have to roll pants so they aren't too long either!

2. iplehouse kids are the same size. i have a pair of colvin little darling jeans that fit really nicely. the waist is a bit loose because they are designed as pull on pants, but other than that they are a perfect fit! i don't know if that means she can wear other little darling sized clothes? i haven't tried. and apparently she can also wear a lot of betsy mccall clothes though i can't tell you exactly which ones as i've never tried.

3. Putting another head on a Narsha body...I once put a petite AI head (white) and it worked very well! Here is a pic:

4. And another (petite ai head on Narsha body): [IMG]

5. And I have found that clothing for the Dianna Effner 13" dolls fit pretty good...especially shirts and dresses:

6. And: [IMG](both outfits by Darladelight from etsy)

7. Your Narsha is so beautiful!! I've done lots of swaps with the Narsha size dolls. Right now I have my Leekeworld Carol (MSD) head on the Narsha body and I have my Shabee head on a Dollzone BB body.

In this picture you can see Shabee on the left and my Leekeworld/Dollmore hybrid right beside her.

8. I think your CustomHouse head is normal skin. Their white was very white and the normal skin was very pale except for the very early dolls. She is great on the Narsha body!

9. that looks like a reasonable color match

those are the same dolls as the "little darling" jeans i have. good to know that the rest of the clothes fit. it also opens a lot of sewing/knitting possibilities since i have seen a fair number of patterns designed for them.

carol is so cute! she looks like she could easily be related to shabee.

10. I have a deardoll Shabee that is so kicky.. what can I do to get him to pose right? The other question that I have is has anyone else had the problem of the face up looking completely different from the company pics? I don't feel like he looks at all the same. I find that he is hard to dress, and wig to make him look like I want him to... I want to love him, and connect with him, but it just hasn't happened yet

11. My narsha is fairly new but after a tumble off a counter thanks to my cat (sustained no damage) she doesn't pose as well as when I got her. Should I unstrung and restring her and maybe then she will?

12. romeo7821 even though the shabee head is the same on the narsha body as the deardoll, deardolls have their own thread here, and you might get better answers on that thread (even though it's pretty quiet) i have a shabee in both sizes though, so i'll try to help. i can't help with the faceup since i got mine blank and did my own, but as far as the kickiness deardolls always come strung with too small of elastic and need restringing right away. (there's a fair bit of discussion about that on their thread) once they are restrung they are great posers though because of the extra joints

and just to keep it relevant to this thread here's an old pic of ellyce, poor girl needs some new pics!

13. Oh thanks for the other head pics guys~ I did change my plans though, for simplicity and price reasons xD
I will hopefully be getting a Coco before the end of june~

14. @auntbear- your doll is so cute! Does she still look like that? She's got some pudgy cheeks it's super cute!

15. Thank you! I will make sure to look in the correct thread. I'm still new here so I'm learning how to navigate. Your doll is gorgeous though! I love her faceup that you did. I will definitely look into restringing. :)

16. Thanks DancingBee, so are yours!! I love the group picture. :) Nancy-it's definitely a white resin customhouse...though I know what you are saying about the resin colors. All my petites are from the early-early glory days of customhouse. Those were beautiful days!! Sariel's face up is a one-of by heavy bomb-remember that artist? :)

17. thanks, yes she does. my two shabees were the first faceups i ever did, so ellyce got redone a while ago, and looks like that pic now, which is a huge improvement over her first faceup! her little sister is in the process of being redone but weather and family stuff got in the way before she was completely finished so i'm hoping to finish her up this spring. i love the sculpt though, it is so cute and has great potential.

i think i used 3mm elastic but it's been several years since i did it. i was a total newbie when i did and it was particularly hard though, you just need to make sure you keep all the pieces in order. it made all the difference between a doll that flopped like a rag doll and one that poses really well. we can talk about it more on the deardoll thread if you like :)

18. Oh yes! I have several with heavy-bomb faceups!

19. would love to see pics! (on the 'appropriate' page!)

20. someone on the kid thread was looking to buy narsha clothes for her kid and wanted a body comparison. i thought some people here might be interested in the pictures for the reverse reason
[IMG]Body comparison by onebluestocking, on Flickr as you can see my narsha/shabee is a little thicker through the limbs and has a slightly longer torso, so while they can share most clothes, clothing designed for iplehouse kids that is really fitted or tight and non-stretchy probably won't work for narsha
