Dollmore Narsha and Friends Discussion Part 2

She is lovely! Great faceup! I like to refer to it as mellowed rather than yellowed!

Thank you Sigune. Narsha is almost banana yellow too but cleaning her up helped quite a bit. I think the blushing that Dollmore put on her had got quite dirty from handling over the years!

Thank you Nancy, I really love her faceup so am glad I was able to 'bring her back to life' again with just a bit of extra blush.

 

dambuster your girl is lovely regardless of the color. she just looks like she has olive toned skin

 

Thank you auntbear. She actually does look like she has a nice olive skin tone in real life so I'm glad it comes across that way in the photos

 

My girls are here and I am thrilled. Narsha told me her name right away - Nicole (Nikki) and while I thought she would be girly she is definitely more casual. Zihu hasn't told me her name yet, but she is the girly one. Sorry for the photo quality, but all I have is my husband's cell phone. I like Nikki's wig, but may need to change Zihu's.

isn't it funny how dolls have their own opinions on what they will wear? i love the pink dress btw. can i ask where you got it?

 

Thank you auntbear, it still amazes me that each doll can have their own personality and can be quite "vocal" about it. The pink outfit is a long skirt and top and was for a very old version of Tonner's Cinderella. I think she was a basic. The skirt fits fine and the top fits but the bottom snap won't snap which you can't tell from the front

 

Merlin's Mom: Congrats! They are so gorgeous! I just love your Narsha's wig, it's adorable on her!

 

Thank you! I am quite taken with these girls. I was hoping more of my 14" kish outfits would fit them, but guess I will be sewing.

 

Merlin's Mom, your girls are adorable! Glad to see more new Narshas coming home. Sharon, your girl looks beautiful - not yellow at all. Just like she has some nice healthy color.

Merlin's Mom congratulations on the arrival of your two girls, they do look lovely. I know what you mean about our dolls telling us their personalities rather than what we think they're going to be like, it's weird, but it's so true!!!

my zihu will get paid off this month and then hopefully come soon. i can relate to slowing down. i've really cut back this last year. only a couple of dolls that have been on my wish list forever!

thanks. it may take a while after she comes before i can get her faceup done. but my husband insulated and heated our garage this year so that i can paint out there and it won't be so weather dependent . ( oops that sounds like he heated it just for me, but that was just a lucky side benefit!)

Congrats on your new arrivals @Merlin's Mom ! Are those the default clothes they came with?

Bumping the thread a little with my new zihu, Ayzere. The weather finally cleared enough to give her a faceup.

 

Ayzere is lovely. Narsha is in the default wig and outfit she came with. Zihu is wearing a Tonner outfit and a mohair wig I had on hand for now.

 

She's lovely, you did a great job of her face!
