It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Dollmore resin color?

Mar 31, 2023

    1. Does anyone know if Dollmore changed their resin colors in the past few years? Back in 2017 or so I had bought a Ballet Kid body and it was a perfect color match to a Luts head. Now I just purchased a '21 Dollmore body for another Luts head and good god the color difference is bad. Even against my '17 body (which spends 99% of the time in her box in a closet), this new one is way too pink and there's no way it will work for the project I wanted and it super sucks cause I have a head with a faceup ready to go and she's been without a body for ages.

Does anyone know for sure or am I just dealing with yellowing issues?

      Thanks!

    2. Dollmore NS resin used to be pink- but recently they changed their NS colour to have more yellow'ish undertones. EDIT::: I'm surprised the body you received were very pink- as their new NS is yellow?

    3. I ordered ns hands from them that I got last spring and they were very pale and pinkish, not yellow.
When did they change the resin color like you were saying @Lotte Rotten ?
When I got the hands they didn't work for me because of the resin color... It was more pink than I remembered but I was willing to believe it was just my bad memory, which is still possible.

    4. @AlisonVonderland I received a head from Dollmore in December 2022. The head was yellow in colour- which came as a bit of a surprise! An online friend of mine also purchased around the same time and her heads were also yellow'ish in colour.

    5. Thanks, this is good to know! Wish my order had been yellow :XD:

    6. I bought a Zaoll last winter (so a year ago) and she was definitely pink tinted. I'm currently waiting on a Kara Klum, so I'm curious now what he'll be...His faceup color will be mostly pink, so I hope he's not too yellow to pull it off!

    7. I'm about to find out for WS; I purchased a mystery box head from Dollmore a few months ago for faceup practice and I decided to make her a whole doll, so I bought a ballerina kid body brand-new that should be here this month. Dollmore disclosed that the contents of their mystery boxes are whatever they've had on hand a while and to expect some aging, so I have no idea how old the head is.

    8. Can you post comparison pictures of the white skin when you get it? Even if it's hard to be certain how old it will be I'm very curious to see the color!

    9. I had once received a pair of Dollmore feet which were sadly too yellow. Judging on the fact that they were posted almost immediately, they must have had these for a few years. All other dolls/loose heads/bodies though came in ''normal'' skin tone, but I wouldn't be surprised if they keep a stock of some items. It's best to ask them before buying, their customer service is usually pretty good and responds fast.
