Thank you So cute =w= But there is only pink for the 1/3 and a lot of people said here that it is really pink... There would be the jacinthe color... but I never saw ity on a doll so I do notknow if it is the good color XP If I take white color + blushing... will it be more pink? I have something with the color pink XD Ad what are all the blushing option?? Like I said... completely new to this XD
Missie L: Wow, that is something! Did you write them about it? I have Mayou now for over a month and just had to tighten her legs. The first strings are still alright! Chibi_Fluffy: My Mayou is pink skin and I have to say in light she is quite pale (just a little darker than my really pale skin) Here is a photo. I know you have to have them really in front of you to tell but I think it can give you an idea of the color. Some more of her are in the arrival gallery of mine. The blushing however I would call quite pink but I have no comparison to others right now so I don't really know. And it fits really well, so you don't have to think to get a skinned-looking doll or so! *laughs* If you go some pages back (I think it's the 7th?) there I too prefered white at first. Well, I know now after some searching that they're not really pink that's why I changed to pink. ^^ When my Van arrives I will be able to post some white skin + blushing photos. I haven't seen some so far. ^^ Oh, the blushing options. I had some problems understanding them, too. And so I asked. The answers are also stated by Zero and Sakura_Lee on page 7 in this thread I think. ^^ For the joints I think it depends on what poses your doll should be able to do. I really like the double joints Mayou has. I especially like them on the arms because she can hold (and keep!) her hand to the shoulder of the same arm and that always looks really natural. She also holds poses of her legs better when the knees are bent. I don't know if that would be possible just with normal joints. Also you hardly see their strings. That I like, too. ^^ Laoky (waiting for Van~)
They told me to restring her. I don't know how, nor do I want to try. I'm a little upset about it all, since I had to pay around $350 in all for her, and the first thing I notice is that one of her strings is snapped. Luckily my bestie is going to restring her for me. Thank goodness for friends.
Thank you very much Laoky your doll is wonderfull Love the color >w< Now I just need to understand the blushing option and get some money to get the one I like ... I hope it happens in less then a month XD
Missie L: I think I understand how you feel. The strings are so most important and should be alright when sent. And since I'm into BJDs I always feared restringing. I just didn't want to do it for some reason. Well, but to tighten mayou I needed to restring her, too. It was the first time for me but it worked perfectly (even though I sweated like hell ). Lucky you to have a friend to do this ^^ Fluff-Chan: You're welcome~! ^.^ And Mayou likes compliments. I'd love to see your doll then. ^^ Laoky (haa~ waiting-tea)
Missie: I'm asking what are the blushing options of AS I think it is really confusing XP Laoky: She better like 'em, because she must receive a lot I'd love to see it too XD
Fluff-Chan: Ok, I write them down again ^^ "Fine polishing for the body inculding fingernails" is a detailed blushing with UV-coat to protect your dollfie from yellowing. "UV Coat for the whole body including head" is just the coating without blushing. The doll has no other color than you chose for the skintone. "Basic polishing for the body" is not as detailed as the fine one with fingernails and so on and has the coating, too. "Remove seamlines": the doll has no extra color and no UV-coat. (Please correct me, if I'm wrong) Laoky (yes, she does ^.~)
Fluffy: I'm no expert but it looks just lovely and smooth. ^^ And I made all the clothes clothes for Mayou (except her custom one) and it didn't rub off yet although my technics aren't the best and I basically put on and take off the clothes to get it right. So with these experiences I would say: yes! Laoky
YAY!!! Well.... I do not seem to have anymore questions XD I'll just try to find out if I can make my own blushing... and only get the UV coat .... Trying to get the doll at lesser price XD
Then good luck, Fluffy! ^^/ There are already some tutorials here at DoA so I think you will get all the help you need ^^ I'd really like to see it then! Laoky
Don't go for what's cheaper. Go for what you want. This isn't a cheap hobby. If you want the body to match the head, I would go ahead and get a blushed body. Angell-Studio blushes their doll heads HEAVILY, so if you want it to look right, I would go ahead and get the body blushed by the professionals. My Gus's body isn't blushed, and it doesn't match her head at ALL. I wish I would have gotten them to blush her body.
My Vera's fully blushed, and I have to say it's well worth the extra few dollars Their work is stunning, and I really think she looks better for it That's just me though
But I am thinking of getting the doll no face-up so I can make my own.... I want it to look exactly like the character I want it to represent....
It is pink and I mean pink. I took pictures... but I think I may have deleted them. When I say pink, I mean pink. Really really heavily pink. Examples: Front Back I just spent a long time removing the blushing ^^; Its very good technique-wise but was a bit too much for me.
Wow that was crazy bright pink... You know, maybe you should just order a completely blank doll and let someone here on the forum do her face-up and body blush for you.
