Dollshe Discussion - Part Seventeen

@dharmaniac your Van looks wonderful- straight out of an Old Master’s painting, vulnerable yet strong- love him !

 

Oh he's so handsome! I always really like Van. He's got such a strong brow and nose. It's very unique! Pity he's so few and far between.

@Iron_Dog I always have one doll on the sofa in the living room with me at all times, it's lovely to give each one some special time, and besides they are good company. My first Dollshe love was Hound, back in 2006 when BJDs first came to my attention. I had already been a collector of various other dolls for years and was curious about what these new BJDs were. I saw Hound on the Luts website and wanted him so much, but it felt way too scary to go ordering him from Korea when I knew nothing about them. So I bought a second hand Volks Kun within the EU, was never really happy with her and sold her on, but that got me started.

Of course by then the Dollshe dolls were no longer available on Luts but I found my Hound boy's head from a member on here, and later a body for him, so Oisín was born (his name is pronounced Osh-een) and he is still my No 1. I can tell him all my troubles and he heals my soul.

 

@mikki your Hound is lovely. I've swapped out my sitting dolls since the last post I made as I received 2 new dolls (on the same day no less) so they're sitting there now.

 

@mikki - Your Oisín is wonderful, and I love how you've bonded with him over the years.

 

I think all of the Dollshe boys are amazing and I love to see photos of them. Thank you @dharmaniac and @mikki for the eye candy. (Now I'm thinking about getting my guys out and playing with them.)

@mikki, I love the name Oisin and I had to look up the meaning. Your guy fits the name perfectly.

Greetings, it's been a while. Poor Sal was covered in dust and I recently brought him out. A new skirt for him. I'm deep in plans to bring a second doll into the family!

Orijean is a sculpt I feel doesn't get enough love. It's so unique. I love your boy.

Aw, hopefully Sal will forgive you for the dust now that you've brought him out again! Did you make the skirt yourself?
