1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollstown 13yr & 15yr Discussion - part three

Sep 9, 2013

    1. I think this new sculpt is less androgynous than the Soi head sculpt…….to me I only see male at the moment.
      What does everyone else see?

    2. After taking a look at the new boy head, my first thought was Soi also, but he does seem to have a more masculine look. I too would like to see him with a faceup.

    3. I can't wait to see him painted too..........and I notice that I call this head 'he' even when I am writing about it. It will be interesting to see If I keep to that view later this year!
I also notice that the back of the head (I can't call it a head cap really because of where it is) will need strong magnets to keep it in place!

    4. Happy news! I ordered my Elysia head from DT. I am wild with anticipation and all ready for her. Eyes, wig, clothes and Connie Lowe shoes that I dyed using Connie's instructions.

    5. I am excited about the new boy sculpt, too! I am waiting for the one that speaks to me. (literally...lol)

      Pretty pink shade, Theresa!

    6. That is brilliant news Theresa she will be home really soon now!*yippee* Do you have a face-up artist ready to paint her yet?
I am so excited for you!!!

And I love the colour of her boots too! Lucky girl to be coming home to such a lovely outfit in fact!

    7. Theresa, those shoes are so pretty, and congratulations on the imminent arrival of your Elysia! She is one of my favorite sculps, and on my wish list.

My 15 year old boy body came today, and while I quickly snapped up a shirt and pants from the marketplace, I really want to save up for a Dollheart steampunk outfit. Question: does anyone know if the SD17 clothes will fit? Thanks!

    8. I do not have this new body, but I have the old one and I buy SD13 clothes to fit as SD16 is mostly too big. So I am going to guess that SD17 would be too big for the new body.
But as I say I do not have the new body and I do not have any SD17 clothes at home either.
You might have to wait for Marie to come back home as I am sure she will know for sure.

And congratulations on getting him home so quickly by the way! :dance

    9. I love the color that the shoes turned out too. Thank you all. I was a little nervous about dyeing them, but all turned out OK in the end. I can't wait to lay my eyes on Elysia. Not 100% sure where she'll go for her spa visit yet Jane, but I hope to send her right out after she arrives to have her back by Christmas? That could be wishful thinking.

    10. Well I am so *wishful thinking* for you Theresa and *wishful thinking* that it will work! It really would be wonderful to her home for Christmas.......good luck sorting it out! :)

    11. Theresa, you are braver than me to dye the shoes and they turned out beautifully! If you send your head off to the spa I hope that you get her home by Christmas. It is the waiting that is so hard.

Thanks, Jane! If the old body is bigger than than the new one then I definitely need to avoid the SD17 size. I really appreciate the info!

    12. Shipping notice! My Elysia is on her way to me. *Happy dance*. And congratulations on your 15yr boy froudfaerie!

    13. Yippee!!!!! Not long now at all! :dance

    14. I have a pair of Connie's cream shoes as well and am quite nervous about dying them. Yours came out beautifully and the color is great. Congratulations on your Elysia head. Can't wait to see the photos.

    15. My beautiful Elysia is here! She will be going out next week for her spa visit. I have a question: All of my other DT heads have magnets in the headcap but Elysia's head doesn't have one and her headcap falls off when I move her. Is this the norm for all the 13Y heads or just certain ones? Thanks.

    16. Oh how exciting Theresa :dance I am so pleased for you

And I tape the headcaps of all my DT dolls as a matter of course.........I simply don't trust the magnet and the head backs are at quite an angle too.
On a couple of my dolls the magnet as not stayed in place too.....I wonder if the Elysia magnet has fallen off during transport. I think you should email DT and ask them about it, perhaps they will send you a replacement one.
      Just an idea

    17. I wrote to Mr. A about my Elysia not having a head magnet and he wrote back to let me know she doesn't come with one. My faceup artist took a rubber band and looped it through the skull hook and then around the S hook a few times so the head cap stays on without tape. But that doesn't help when you want to change eyes frequently!

    18. Thanks for the info Dana. There isn't any indentation for a magnet so I assumed Elysia didn't come with one. Could you post a pic of your Elysia please? My girl is going to Sally today and I will miss her.

    19. It is hard when they are away at the artist........but Sally will bring her to life in no time at all I sure. Could she be back home before Christmas? I hope so ((hugs))

    20. I finished painting my Soi boy!

I decided though that his character needed to look older so the head has a new home and the body is being (hopefully) repurposed with a Dollshe IM Hound head. :D
