1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollstown 15 year girl body

Jan 27, 2007

    1. Go Xen! Keepin' the dream alive.:thumbup

Maybe they'll release right before Xmas? Like they did with the boys last year???

    2. but wasn't it like that 3-4 months back? : confused :

I hoping that it is late December/January as I am now skint due to minimee orders :( and have sold my Domuya Fin and intending to sell my Fay aswell to make way (space and money wise) for the 15a girl, hopefully with an Eylsia head in white/pink resin ... it has been a while, but I am sure the wait will be worth it :D

    3. I'm still trying to keep the faith. I'ts been almost a year now.....

    4. Things are looking up....Dollstown have reorganised their English Order board with pictures of bodies/new heads...and also have updated their schedule dates for releases...yay..for all you very patient people out there!!! Well worth the wait I say!.......:D

      All the best,

      xen :)

    5. February! :sumomo: Hope I have some spare change by then. :sweat

    6. Hi guys....:) The 15 Girl body will be released after the 5 and 7 bodies on 9th of February.

I was so looking forward to this new body...but alas....AnjongHak has added the dreadful Sanding Service......:(
I have nearly all of the Dollstown crew...and Never had to pay for any sanding!!..Ever......I have written and asked Why now???
This does add quite a bit to the total cost of a Dollfie body.

I did write about this in the news section yesterday...but someone removed it!!

      All the best,

      xen :)

    7. I would imagine that the sanding service is now separate so they can fill orders faster and spare the people who don't care some time. I have an allergic reaction to the resin dust if I work on sanding or carving for more than a few minutes without hand protection, so I would imagine that anyone who works with resin all the time would be looking for ways to avoid unnecessary exposure.
I'm so excited! I hadn't really thought about pricing, but the body prices are totally reasonable and I've found that I already have plenty of funds saved!
      :sumomo:
*goes back to stalking the site*

    8. Awwww that's too bad St.James....being allergic to resin would be totally awful.:( I can't imagine not being able to mod my guys. I have had no reaction to resin with all the work I have done, I must be one of the lucky ones! I will be stocking up on sanding equipment for these new bodies..........I have plenty of funds saved too!! but I have to restrain myself from buying someone else!! in the meantime!!! Must keep focused on DT..........

      I stalk DT every day........;)

      All the best,

      xen :)

    9. Someone asked in News whether Dollstown's "new" resin will match the old Dollstown parts we have around (mostly heads awaiting bodies). I have put the question on the Dollstown Q&A as an open post so hopefully others besides me will be able to see the reply.

Also, someone asked in News about how to write on their board and I didn't want to be too chatty in News so I'm posting it here:
For writing on the Q&A there, look in your upper left corner for the letters L W J and use those to make an account (I believe that's "J" for Join). Then you can log in with your account (using L for Login), go to the Q&A board and you can write (using the "W" for Write). Also when you go to write you will have to select a "category" from the list of Korean words or it won't post. If you don't read Korean then you'll have to do like me and just pick anything.

    10. Regarding the questions about new resin, there is a notice posted in the Doll's Information Board section about it, but it's only in Korean. In summary: Dollstown has decided to us the American-made Smooth-On resin for their dolls, it's lower odor, easier to sand, and has fewer problems with air bubbles. Rather than casting it in house, they have contracted Dollshe Craft to do the casting because they have a higher tech casting workshop that will mean fewer junk casts. The combination of higher qualilty resin and the use of Dollshe's labor is the reason for the price increases. To offset the cost a little, they are separating the sanding costs (previously built into the doll price) for those who don't mind doing it themselves. The three colors of resin should remain the same, I was told that white would still match Volks white, etc.
      :)

    11. Thank you St. James. I agree that Smooth-on resin is nice and it seems like it would be possible to match the Volks resin. Dollshe craft should also be much swifter and better at making and restocking the dolls so all of the Dollstown dolls will be more available for people, I hope.

At the same time, I would like to see one of the new bodies to see if there are qualitative differences between it and the old Dollstown resin that I have, before I commit to buying more new Dollstown dolls rather than seek old ones in the Marketplace.

    12. I'm happy to post comparison photos between the white girl I'll be ordering and the white Mui who already lives here, but I'm sure someone who is ordering one of the littles will have input first. :)

ETA: Using the new measurements provided in the 15 girl stats, I've mapped out her size compared to my Supia Roda since she's the closest in stature that I own. She's going to be a BIG girl! :love Her hands are going to be nice and heavy at 5cm long (same as Supia but much thicker by appearances), her bust is the same size, but her waist is thicker (18cm instead of 16.5cm) and her hips are bigger too. Her shoulders are even more broad than Supia at 12cm, but her neck is quite slender. There's still a chance that my F-30 girl will look a bit like a lolipop, but given that the Estella head shown on the body still looks okay, I think I'm safe. :sweat

    13. I saw in the working gallery that there were two types of 15year body, 15A and 15B, one full bosomed and the other not. But on the english order board, there is no option mentionned...
Does anyone knows if this is written somewhere in the site, maybe in korean, or if there is finally just one version ?

    14. So the bust is still relatively small? I like that! :D

How tall is the new body and the head? 60cm?

    15. Very early on in the 15 body's development, there were two versions, just as there had been two versions of the 13 body. When they were considering in-house casting they were concerned that four body types would be too labor intensive and slow down production too much. They solicited input from customers and ultimately decided on the 13b and 15a bodies as those that would be produced. Even though Dollstown is now having Dollshe Craft do the casting, it seems unlikely that the other body types will be resurrected, because they were eliminated before all of the bodies were reworked.

I don't know that I'd call 26cm small, since that's a full centimeter larger than a Mature Delf girl. :sweat
She's pretty tall for a midsize girl, 62cm.

    16. I have the same question, how do you order from them? What I really want right now is the 15 girl "big bosom" body, if that is how I understand it. I have the small bosom body now for Estella. Or does she take the 13 big bosom body. I am totally confused by this company!
I'm also interested in th Hue head and 15 boy body.

      Thanks for any info!

    17. as far as I understand it, all of the "mature" girl heads (estella, bandi, ariel, elysia, etc.) will fit any of the 13 or 15 girl bodies--it's like the CP large & small bust versions, the neck is the same so any head will fit on any body. I think the only bodies they will not fit on are the 15 boy body and the 7 & 5 year bodies.

    18. I couldn't outright say all of the 13/15girl heads fit on the 15boy body but the estella head is pictured in the workshop gallery on the 15boy body. The daisy head is also the same head as it was called "head A" on the workshop gallery and fits both bodies. There are also various pictures of the girls heads on volks boy bodies. So I can only assume all heads can cross over.

    19. yes, I had forgotten about that. I just remembered that AnjongHak had said that the 13/15 girl bodies would match pretty much any SD-size head for size, but that the 15 boy body had a larger neck and he wasn't sure whether it would fit other companies' stuff.

anyway, it does look probable that any DT head can fit any DT body (with the promised Seola-13, I'm wondering if it will be a separate sculpt, indicating that the neck is a different size, or if it's the same head--which is definitely just about large enough to be SD sized--indicating that the "older" heads could fit on the younger bodies.

    20. The new statement makes it sound as though the big girls will be available in a matter of days. :D The list of available quantities and colors of the 5 and 7 dolls is really small; I hope they are planning to have more of the 13 and 15 girls than that. Otherwise, this is going to be a five minute feeding frenzy. *_* The board has been locked because so many people were trying to place orders before the scheduled time :eusa_naug, so there isn't any way to ask for a more specific timeframe. But it is reassuring to see that there is a planned restock in a month's time. :)
