Dollzone Discussion ~ 60 and 70cm ~ Part IX

I love Echo's styling, and her face, but it's not in my budget to get another big doll currently. If her head was a little bigger I'd consider getting it for my 2D Doll 68cm girl body, but I fear it'd be too pinheaded, which is my issue with the current Impldoll head on it.

Perhaps down the line I will get Echo, but currently my priorities are getting a new head for the 2D68 body, and getting a yosd elf eared girl in purple. I'm holding out hope that DZ will do another purple event and I can get a Little Snow.

It really is amazing how far Dollzone has come with their sculpting, especially on bodies. I once did a comparison of the B70-001 to the B70-003 in 2015, and already then the growth was amazing to see. I should take some of my big DZs out for pictures again, like my April elf...

 

Okay, I'm seriously considering getting Echo. The last time I ordered from Dollzone was years ago through a European dealer that no longer exists.
Is it better to order through a dealer or from Dollzone directly these days? I'm located in Europe, Germany, so shipping and taxes will probably be the same. I'm thinking about using Legend Doll. Does anyone have any good or bad experiences with Dollzone's dealers?

 

@Amadiel I ordered the jellyfish with Alice's Collections and my experience was excellent. Communication was good, I was able to layaway, she let me order extra parts (transparent hands) and I had a change of address that all went through smoothly

I ordered two dolls at once from Alice in I think 2022 Halloween when they did the vampires, and a separate order of two heads. They were great—my two doll order took layaway, because it was a bit of an impulse order. Alice emailed me to confirm each payment, and their free shipping reached Canada pretty quick if memory serves!

There’s a good reason I currently have 2 Dollzone layaways with AC (even if they can’t give me free shipping on one of them, because she’s literally longer than I am!)

Also, your mileage may vary on this one, but I’ve never paid customs on dolls from Alice’s—Canada customs is incredibly lazy, if they see a big heavy box marked at $20 CAD, they don’t investigate that at all. I know most European customs are a lot more vigilant and will look up the value of the item sometimes when it’s underdeclared. But I believe Alice under declares by default, to try to save you some customs fees!

Oh, that's pretty. I told myself I had enough Dollzone dolls, but...

 

Could someone share their Dollzone dolls in moon gray resin?
I'm considering getting Echo in moon gray, I imagine the white faceup looks gorgeous on gray resin. But then again I always have a hard time imagining a faceup on a different skin tone than the ones shown on the promo pics.

 

I ordered the DZ slim body in tan on layaway today before the discount ran out. I hope to order either the Aska head next year to match, or track down a Soom Aslan head--still deciding.

 

I can't wait to see the body in the wild. I planned on getting one and then Abidoll dropped theirs which works a little better for a character I have in mind. I'll probably still buy one for my Lunarmate Soren head though, just later next year.

 

I'm getting the Abidoll and the DZ slim so I can let you know what I think of both

Does anyone have a 75cm boy (any body type) and can tell me what size the arm/shoulder socket is? Or even just the ball joint size that fits into the socket sized around it! I failed to consider this VERY important measurement for a custom arm for an incoming boy and I already got the comm rolling..... -_-

 

I would personally ask on the soom idealian cause I feel that's the standard when I'm trying to buy clothes XD

But while here, my dollzone muscular body at 75cm is 4.5 cm across the socket

 

Idealian 75 is smaller than DZ75 Slim, especially in the shoulder area, so I would not use ID measurements if the commission is specifically for a DZ body.

 

Has someone fell in love with him as much as I did?

He’s beautiful—mercifully, I don’t have a character for him though!! Did you find him on DZ’s TaoBao? He’s not on the official site yet!

 

Is it weird that I might want that painted on one of my guys, instead of getting that doll??
