1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollzone Discussion ~ 60 and 70cm ~ Part IX

Nov 11, 2023

    1. I really wish DollZone was more into archiving their previous sculpts :sigh I think I've gone off on this tangent before...

    2. I agree. It's sometimes hard to find pics of old sculpts that are long discontinued. I get that it takes up server space but it would only need to be one picture of a sculpt. SD has this problem, too, especially after they migrated to a new site.

    3. Speaking of old sculpts - here's my 2010 SD Mo head on the discontinued 65cm body.

He needs a new face-up and his old body-paint removing but even after all these years he's still solid as a rock. Poses like a dream and can hold up multiple smaller dolls with ease.

I know the face sculpt was quite devisive at the time but I just love Mo (I have 2 MSD Mo's as well!).

    4. Lol, one of my friends has a Mo obsession. She has... 3? but they're all MSD I believe. I very strongly suspect that if she had the chance to get an SD Mo, that would be done so fast, her bank account would have scorch marks from the cash leaving it so fast.

    5. "Rockin' Resin Addict, he looks great! Love seeing this old sculpt. :aheartbea

I never really understood what the hubbub was all about with SD Mo? There were two SD Mo sculpts issued by Dollzone, as I recall. I've always been a big Mo fan. He was my very first MSD sized doll. :aangel:

    6. Thought I would join here as I just ordered not only my first dollzone doll but also my first ever full male doll - Hush in light tan on that amazingly muscled 75cm body. I saw on youtube someone posing that body on his high heeled toes without stand and then I saw Hush's smiling face and I was suddenly gone and emailing alice collection if I can order him with them haha

I like seeing the walk down memory lane here - when I first joined the hobby I do recall some dolls that are soooo difficult to find pictures of now that I really liked back then - Una... Jeremy... Aurora... Cosmo... Brant... so many just disappeared...

    7. @Cloudedmind @aihre Thank you both! I will try to decide between those two services, so that I can get my hands on Sylvan~ Did either of you ever do a deposit order instead of paying in full? Does it affect the forwarding service at all if you do a deposit purchase (i.e only put the forwarding request for the final payment order)?

    8. @aestellica With Bhiner it doesn't matter since you don't need to put in a request with them. You just make sure the address you use for shipping has all the information Bhiner provides to you. I would imagine it probably doesn't matter with Superbuy either since with a deposit order most companies aren't actually going to ship anything out for the first half of the order.

      • x 1
    9. @aestellica Yes I've done deposit orders. It is as Cloudedmind said - Superbuy only cares about physical goods received, and they do ask for a tracking number when you submit your ticket. So you don't need to do anything until you actually have a tracking number in hand from the seller (ie. they're shipping the goods out to your address).

I assume that you understand some of the etiquette around deposit orders? ie. virtual tracking numbers, some sellers sending postcards to buyers after deposit payment. If you don't know about this I can explain further in DMs (this is getting very off-topic), as there are some ins and outs of buying direct on Taobao worth understanding.

    10. Does anyone happen to have a doll in DZ's moon white resin?

    11. Congrats Solinvictus on your DZ Hush order! He's a gorgeous boy! :love

I'm really curious about the 75cm body. Can't wait to see someone post pics of it.

Glad you enjoy the photos of the old DZ dolls. I love posting pictures of the old discontinued sculpts. (So much love for their original style.) And, since Dollzone does not keep a
photo archive of their past dolls, I feel like we get to keep those sculpts alive here for all the Dollzone fans. :aheartbea:hug: :aheartbea

Sorry Cloudedmind, I wish I could help, but I don't have any dolls in DZ 's Moon White.

    12. I'm curious about the 75 body too. I ended up not ordering it and just ordering a head with faceup because DZ offered soom white and I have the Story of Seventh Day body ordered. I'm gonna see how he fits on that! :eusa_pray

    13. @Rabbit-moon No worries! It doesn't seem like there's a lot of dolls around in that color, and Instagram hasn't been helpful since they nuked their hashtags.

    14. After 9 years, I finally repainted Jazz, my tan Stramonium. I am really pleased with her look now!

      A quick portrait of her.

Next up, gotta take a family picture of her with her husband Zai (DZ Raymond) and their daughter Bonnie (OT for this thread)

    15. I'm sorry IzabethS, I can't see the picture. I'm only seeing a blue box with an X over it. Is it just me?

      • x 4
    16. Thank you IzabethS! That worked; your picture is showing now.

Wow! She looks gorgeous! I love her eyebrows. :aheartbea

So cool! Another great face-up. You are so talented! :thumbup

    17. THROWBACK THURSDAY!

You know, seeing IzabethS' lovely Stramonium reminds me of how much I regret not having appreciated Dollzone's early girl sculpts when I had the chance. I was always so focused on their gorgeous boys that I totally dropped the ball on getting some of their beautiful girls.

Look at this cutie! Does anyone remember who she is?

    18. Oh, isn’t that a Dollzone Morphea? My wife has a classic April, not the new (and also disocontinued) elf eared one, though I have that one. She’s on the first 58cm girl body still with a company Faceup (with freckles added by me). I really need to take a pic of her and share her!
