1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollzone Originality - Discuss it here.

    1. Good clarification, but what I was talking about is when you listen to the news, what you hear is "US pressures China to stop bootlegging as part of trade agreements." So yes, they could very specifically be meaning to refer to Hong Kong, but that's not the impression one would get from following current events.

An important distinction between Dollzone and ForeverDoll was brought up here though: ForeverDolls weren't worth the resin they were made out of. Look at them funny and they'd fall to itty bitty pieces.

Who said you could still request Ninas? Because someone else said they *tried*, and were told they couldn't get one, and she's not listed when you go to the Dollzone webpage. I'm not saying you're lying, just saying we're getting conflicting reports about their availabilty. Someone on here did recently get a Nina head, but I was strongly under the impression that she was second-hand.

My major concern is that I don't want Dollzones banned from here. I can tell you for sure that Megi isn't a MNF El having seen both IRL, (photography makes them look more similar than they are because of the flattening effect) and it would be a rather sad day if all Dollzones got banned, even those heads that were never conclusively proved to be copied. Yes, I can see banning the ones that WERE copies, such as Lyn, but I'm only interested in Megi and Mo and as far as I can tell, they're both originals.

    2. I asked not long ago (mid-late June) and they told me they could get me a Nina.... They said to just put it in the option box when I ordered another doll b/c I was asking about ordering her along with a doll that is listed. I asked yuanzhisky7912

    3. I don't think they were made out of resin, but thats not the point :sweat

As for DZ being baned from DOA, well that would be awful. Not all the moulds are copies. I'm all for the banning of copies but why should those of us who have legit dolls have to suffer?

    4. Huh, I guess I just didn't see her when I was glancing over the page. My bad.

    5. Liria has said before that some DZ dolls, maybe not the newer ones, were made with polystone, which is a composite material with resin as an ingredient but contains many other lower quality composite minerals as well. She said it cost 1/10th of CP's resin.

    6. I don't see any real resemblance to the whole mini fee el thing (considering i have one) and to the new DZ elf with Moon, however, the body does have striking similarities, but the size is what throws me off *___*

    7. Forever Doll made their dolls from that stuff and sprayed them the right color. DZ dolls have always been made of resin

    8. I see a few similarities between the new DZ and Moon, but I don't know that it's enough that I'd call it a copy. I don't see the similarity between MNF El and the other doll at all though.

    9. Actually I do recall the early DZ dolls being said to be made of polystone. I never saw an early DZ doll in person though so I can't verify it, but I do clearly remember Liria saying this.

    10. Ditto on this, just couldn't remember what it was called, earlier :P

    11. I thought Lynn was the Woori-copy, and Nina was an original sculpt?

    12. Again, past is past. This really dosen't make much difference to the current problem. I'm worried that people are gonna' end up confusing Forever doll with Dollzone. That would not be fair....

    13. Nina was relesed at the same time as Lynn but is not a copy

    14. Nina looks like a modified MSD Ken/Mika to me. Easy, easy mods. Pic?

As for banning DZ dolls, the moderators haven't really discussed it. We're really waiting for more concrete evidence... and even if DZ is found to be a bootleg, the ban may be restricted to buying/selling. But like I said, we really haven't talked about it. Just don't want DZ owners to start flipping out when it's not even an issue yet. ;)

    15. Um, just curious, does anyone know what the documents the dollzone official site posted are about? They're jpgs and I don't read Chinese -_-; They look like legal docs, however.

PS. armeleia, is that my Caelan? Sorry, had to ask ^^

    16. It seems that everyone is up in arms about the new big dolls that will be coming out soon. This doll hasn't even been officially released and also, DollZone said that they are probably going to change the bodies. That's all I have to say now.

    17. this seems to make is pretty obvious that the bodies are made of various other doll's parts-why else would the joint not match up at all? why would it be sculpted like this, with the curve in the lower part if it doesn't fit together with the top part?
in my opinon the lower arm looks alot like my kid delf's, but I dont think I can prove it-it just looks so familiar.
It just seems like a shame to me, dollzone could have done really well if they had stayed away from copying.

    18. ^what doll was that from? O_O
