This being the first time I pre-order a doll through Doll & Hobby, how have pre-orders for prior Dollpas gone? Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that Volks can send them far less dolls than the number requested, but is that the norm? In the past have dozens ordered and only a lucky few actually rec'd? I sort of remember Frank doing a raffle for Kohya and Tohya, but was that because he was shipped far less than expected, or because he knew in advance he was getting a small number? I'm just a curious George and wondering what my chances are...
basically, it's the norm that Volks doesn't send that many. most likely not everyone who ordered will get a doll. In fact, only a few people may get a doll.
I've been telling myself this since Friday.....over and over and over..... But, in truth, I will be so crushed if I don't get my order. Tried to NOT think of Liz, but I've already named her and my mind keeps going to her backstory. You never know what will happen, so I'm trying to prepare for the worst, Michelle
Not that I know this for fact, but I think at least a month. When I've ordered out of stock Volks items in the past I've been warned I'd have to wait for that time or longer. It's the not-knowing if I'll get my doll that's making this wait torturous.
there's no way to know (and don't ask Frank, because he doesn't know either.) It could be one month, it could be three. remember that those ordering preorders in japan have to wait till september to get their dolls...
I asked Mary, and she didn't know, she said it could be a month it could be 6 months you never know with volks. She also had no idea on how many dolls are they going to get. Pony_gery

Has anyone heard from D&H or gotten their doll from them yet? Last time I spoke to them, they said they were expecting the dolls to arrive over a week ago...
Really!? I thought it was going to be months... hmmm, I wonder if I should call and ask where I ended up on the list. I never did find out.
I emailed them last night, to ask where I was on the list, no answer yet. I purposely waited, so hopefully they wouldn't be swamped with mail from the original preorder date, but no word. Michelle

No response to my Sunday email.....and I won't email again, don't want to be pushy. I am sad. Michelle
I did get a response today from D&H.....just a short one saying that they numbered the orders in the order they received them, and that is how they will be filled. I didn't press for info on if they know when they will receive the dolls. Michelle
dont even bother asking about when/if they will be filled. If they get information they'll let us know.
Just got an order confirmation from Doll and Hobby, by the amount I am getting Yo SD Suzanna! Don't know if they got the other dolls in, or didn't get them in, or already sold out. I also had a pre-order for Liz but no e-mail on her. happy enough with Suzanna for a non-ebay price! Going to get out my knitting needles for this little cutie!- Barb in MA
Yes, I am wondering if she might not be from the shipment we are all waiting for. The pre-order e-mail I got dated May 6th, also listed some Kyoto Limited dolls, including Yo Suzanna that were to go by lottery. That shipment was not part of the pre-order and e-mail of 5/6 said those dolls (the Kyoto 3) should be arriving in about a week, so possibly the Suzanna is leftover from the shipment that was the lottery and no one entered the lottery. I didn't thinking that if I entered by lottery and pre-ordered, then I would have 2 of the same dolls on my credit card. would be nice if this were different shipment and that I still have a reasonable chance at Liz. If no one else posts today, than I am going to guess it was not the pre-order shipment. Barb in MA
