It's really funny. Sometimes Volks ships quickly to D&H and sometimes it takes forever. Just depends..... 0,o I think the things will be here soon.....though, with the new shop being placed in CA. .... ? But, Volks lets Frank know when to order, and what he can order. He just doesn't always get the entire amount ordered. Say, I wonder how Frank feels about this new shop? I mean the store will be able to get most things very quickly, I would think. I've always had the feeling D&H had to "suck up" so to speak, to the Volks company to get orders.....don't know if that true or not. However, when it came to the first Isao, they didn't ship the entire ordered amount to Frank. They had a try and buy it on our site deal, instead. What a nightmare that was.... Plus, the confusion when the dolls finally did show up at Franks.
I think they meant the new Volks shop that's suppose to open up in LA, not another D&H store. (feel free to kick me if I'm wrong as we all know what happens when you assume... XD; )
just got back from Vacation and they sent me a ship notice ... but it was for 2 cans of MR Superclear, no mention of the Dolpha orders.
I did get a long message from Frank, saying that he had contacted Volks and unfortunately still has no clue when they will be receiving the dolls. I'm betting September, but for Liz, I will wait! Michelle
Just got an e-mail from D/H about the pre-orders, I called, they got very, very few Liz dolls. e-mail from Doll/Hobby reads: OK, Looks like these should arrive next week. As most everyone could have guessed, Liz was very short. We received about 10% of what we ordered. We do have extra Heath and Arashi on our invoice. No Renegemaru, Suzana, or Ushiwakamaru accessory sets. Most V Jeans were also out of stock. We do have SD coming back in, please place any orders on the website as soon as you can to reserve a doll. If you are interested in a Heath or Arashi, please call me with all billing info and we can ship when we receive. If you have one on order, and need to make a billing or shipping change, please do so now. If I do not have payment details on file, I will pass over you in the list. This was supposed to have been done at time of order. Unfortunately, some customers left messages with no details. I need this info now if you want your doll. Please CALL with this info during business hours of 10-4. We will also receive the Rainy Day outfits for MSD and YoSD in pink and in blue. MSD outfits are 54.00, YoSD are 41.00. Yeah I called and Frank was not very encouraging about getting just a regular pure skin SD Kun or the LE one. He says since he is unsure of what he gets until it arrives, ya never know. *sighs* she is not listed on his website either. Ohhh well . . . no rush actually. Got a Heath that should be arriving soon *YESSSS* . . . and that Liz is a lovely girl to bad she is harder to get. You know the saying - there will ALWAYS be beautiful new dolls coming down the pike. :grin:
Out of curiosity, does D&H/Frank email you directly, or is there some mailing list that I'm apparently not signed up for I never seem to get any of these notices despite being a repeat customer.
It's a mailing list you need to sign up for. I looked on the site, and it says to email them saying you want to be on the list.
I was hoping I'd get a chance to buy Liz, but I just got an email from Frank and he said he was only able to get a few Liz and my name was not at the top half of the list :cry: so if anyone is on the list and able to get one, but don't want her anymore can you please PM me and I'll be happy to take over your order from D&H.
I just got off the phone with Frank at Doll & Hobby. He is only receiving four Liz dolls out of about 40 orders. I was fifth on the list So if you didn't call within the first few minutes... also, you would have heard from Frank already. BTW Frank is really heartbroken about it. He's such a sweetheart. I feel almost as bad for him as I do for myself!
Frank said he has contacted the lucky four. Otherwise if you did not win her you will not hear from them.
