1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Domuya Flexi vs ShinyDoll Thassa bodies

Dec 31, 2006

    1. Ooh, you have an Aria! I'm so glad to have a chance to see owner pictures of her. She's so pretty!

    2. Sorry -- it should be fixed now :)

    3. I love my Flexi-Perennial :) She poses really well, and I haven't had any trouble with her standing, unlike the 60cm Flexi boy I have, her ankles don't roll.

Although the bust size is large for SD-13 sized dolls, it's approximately the same as similar-sized girls such as SD-16, Model, etc. It's actually even the same as Elfdoll, apparently they can wear exactly the same clothes except that Perennials need length on the Elfdoll pants/short skirts. She wears model clothes beautifully as well and can wear SD13 boy clothes.

I don't think her bust large. To me it's really natural looking, she looks great in clothes but not like she's wearing a pushup bra. That's actually what I like about her whole body, especially with blushing she looks the most "human" of my dolls and moves quite naturally. She sits the most easily with one leg tucked under her and one knee bent up, a really cute posture. She can get her knees almost up to her chin and wrap her arms around them.

I haven't been able to compare to a Thaasa though.

    4. I have both types of THAASA and a Domuya. When I got my first Shinydoll I became positively evangelical about them. With a Luts girl and a Soulkid double to compare it to it was the hands down winner. Now having experienced Dollmore, Feeple, and Domuya Flexi-P I'm still evangelical and if Shin-san would produce an optional bigger bust part and a long leg kit I would never look at a different female body.

I'm far less keen on the girl Flexi-P body than the boy for some reason. She's very slim despite the boobs and I'd have liked more shape and definition in the limbs. Don't like the feet, I can barely get her flat feet into SD13 boy shoes. The SD girl converse I bought for her don't fit at all, although they do fit my Flexi-P boy!:?

With the Shinydolls everything just works perfectly and effortlessly, no learning curve, no fuss, no need for sueding, just a doll that moves so naturally and gracefully it's almost impossible to get her to look awkward. She has full ankle and wrist movement too which I find very restricted in the Domuyas.

Clothes wise I've found that Dollmore Eve trousers are an almost perfect fit and both of mine happily wear MSD sized shoes. My Domuya girl wears standard SD clothes but they're a bit short on her legs as I have her with the long leg kit. (All my boys are over 64cms and can't look down at the poor 57cm Shiny girls - but hey, their loss )

Oh and Luts Delf heads are fine on Shinydolls although they may need a little blushing for a perfect match unless you have one of the really paper white heads.

Just in case anyone is wondering, Migidoll and Dollstown 13/15 heads don't look right at all, I've tried a Miho and a Bandi, awful proportions. Customhouse look fine, I have a Hyun on a Shinydoll but the WS doesn't match exactly.
