Domuya in celebration of D1 Flexis' 1st Birthday....

Yes, they are normal skin colour. Also just a note,( which I still consider news ).At the meet today I blushed Lucy's doll head to match the flexi-body and it worked a TREAT!I used a big( fat) ish blusher brush ( clean), and wet it, then ran it over my pastel colour.when it was dry, I dry brushed it to get rid of any brush marks, then sealed it with MSC.

Mine came too. Mine's a bw and the skintone is whiter than my (very old) Shiwoo vampire head, but it's less white than my Leroi snow. (It's more a naturally pale person colour, not paper white like the Leroi)

 

mine arrived today, all in good shape. its bw too, and I have plans with another abjd collector to do some intensive resin comparisions with the bw body.

edit: just tried it on my soom nevermind white skin. the head doesn't quiet fit, it sits on top of the neck a bit. also, the resin is whiter than sooms. it looks both yellow and pink in comparision. mostly yellow.

 

I got my boy body today, too -- and it looks like it's a near-perfect comparison to Volks Pureskin. My School C is on mine. :3 I'll take some better photos of the resin comparison when I'm more awake -- but here he is!





Sadly, my boy isn't able to sit up on his own. His belly joint and chest joint seem to just want to...flop. So I bound him with surgical tape, so it can't move period. Now he can sit. XD

 

Here are some photos of the Domuya/Volks Pureskin color match. The color is almost perfect, but the texture is different between the two (Domuya is very slick and shiny while the pureskin has much more "tooth")

Note: Domuya BW matches nearly PERFECTLY with Volks Pureskin FCS white. My CP Harang head is a little bit yellower than the body, but it's negligible.

I don't have a Moon, but my NS arrived today for my Miyu. She's about 6-7 months old, if that helps. I'll get pictures asap!

 

my flexi body has shipped, but i do not expect it soon . any idea if the resin color is a good match with rainy dolls? ( not that i have a head for her yet! ) diane

 

Whether it's because her blushing is too dark I don't know, but the Flexi body was definitely lighter than my CP Miyu. However, the neck is too wide and her head just balances on top. I could have dealt with the colour difference, but oh well :/

 

Mine is a perfect match for my Iplehouse Kaxias head. It is, however, slightly off from the Iplehouse Lion head.

 

From what I hear it's a very good match.

 

just a query to everyone who just bought these bodies, I recieved my doll bodies today, still waiting on heads (CP NS Nanuri) apparently a good match in skin tone, but did any other buyers notice flaws on their bodies? like shiny spots that look like glue? On the right leg of my flexi-girl around the edge of the socket there are some marks and spots that literally look like clear glue... did any one else have this?

 

Mine doesn't match the Kawainino doll heads or the CP heads exactly, but with blushing I think it will be fine.

 

I've seen spots on other dolls (Rainy Dolls and Soom dolls) that do appear as though there was a bit of some residue on the surface. I assume it to be either a result of the mold release or some other mystery treatment.

Have you tried scrubbing the area? Does it come off?

(My Flexi body should arrive on Monday, I can take a better look for you then).

 

I have a white spot on my Flexi girl body it is near her elbow joint, but that's okay I still love this body for my Iplehouse Silvia head

Mine boy body should be here by the weekend he was shipped on the 24th EMS so I will post my findings when I get mine. Maybe they were in too much of a hurry???

Thanks Plasticnoodles/Madonnafanme, I gave her a gently wash with an eraser sponge and some soapy water, there was a dirty big purple smudge on her thigh too from the COA, but the glue spots (as I'm now refering to them) are still there... I'm going to sand their seams anyway so I'll go over it then and see how it turns out...? Mould release washes off with soapy water usually.

But none-the-less they are awesome bodies!!! Just working on the ankle strength, hubby suggested wiring just the legs, but I'm loving how they seem to flop nicely into my shoulder when picked up...... the neighbours must think I'm so weird hugging a headless body!!! :lol

 

I got mine yesterday, and I didn't notice any spots, plenty of scuffing on the feet, but it rubbed right off. There is a bubble hole on one finger, but it's not enough to bother me and mostly hidden so I really don't care.

I just wish I'd made the decision on a head before I ordered the body, I got normal skin, and a DIM head. Lots of work to do this weekend.
