DragonDoll 1/3 and 70cm dolls Part 2

I don't know how conditions over there are now versus when I ordered in December, but I ordered basically December 1st, and he arrived on Dec 24th! So it may not be 30 days. Here he is on my desk... My monitor is a 22", I will check the height of thy shelf when I get home. EDIT: The shelf is just over 20 inches from the platform he's standing on! That is an OT head from SimplyDivine.. And those are his salwar pants, because I was too lazy to make anything more complicated and fitted before the meet up, and the leather pants are just not his thing.

Wheeeeeeeeeeee hello everyone~ I was lurking this thread for a little and decided to post. I ordered a Ying on the 16th of February and I am now playing the waiting game for him to ship out!! I am being impatient. I keep hoping he'll be shipped out by the end of next week but I could be wrong... I ordered him through Alice's Collections... I think production time is 25 days for the 70cm dolls so I'm thinking the 60cm are a little quicker? Maybe? Maybe I'm just being too anxious. It's been about 20 days total so far.

AAAARGH. Waiting is so difficult. I will keep lurking this thread until he shows up. *______________* In the meantime I bought a wee little 11cm obitsu so she should keep me occupied until the big boy comes home (he'll be my first SD!!)

 

Mryxadiddly, I was told by Alice's to expect a 30-40 day production on my body and since I ordered on the 31st on January and I haven't heard anything you might need to be a bit more patient. Plus you can't forget there were a lot of companies that had vacations or breaks during February so there could be a delay due to that too. But i'm with you, the waiting game is such a nightmare ><

Oh and I forgot to mention its 30-40 working days, weekends and holidays are strictly excluded from the day count (as I learned the hard way with my Luts girl who had roughly 45-65 day wait)

 

I waited almost an exact month for my boy to ship. C: I ordered April 28th, and he arrived on June 9th. It was an excruciating wait because he was my first doll. X'D But Alice's Collections got him to me very quickly when he arrived to them!

Tam is looking handsome as ever. I really should get to posting Mort more. I'm still being a lazy bum about finishing his body blush. I also NEED to learn to make armor for him. What kind of dragon warrior is he without it?

@amethystblack: Ah! Thank you for letting me know! Even though it's longer than I'd hope for (sigh, impatience), it's nice to know from someone about how long it will take so I don't get my hopes up too much.

@genevieve: Ok! Thank you too! I like knowing how long some dolls take so I can make a more educated guess on how long he will take. Can't wait... Any longer... It's been 15 business days so far, so I suppose I'm halfway there. SIIIGH. My first doll (who was from Dollmore) came to me after like, two and a half weeks, including shipping time. And my second one I bought at a convention so I got her instantly when I paid for her. :P This is the first doll I'll have to wait full production time for ;__________;

@Redfaery: Hello Tam! You are looking very comfortable there. Kitty behind you looks a little nervous that all you're wearing is a sheet...

I know the wait is driving me crazy too, I was told (when I completed my layaway on Friday) that my order is expected to be done in 15 days so I can't be certain if that is 15 regular days or just business days, because if that is business days then it will be right on my own schedule as to when I expected my boys body home ^^; However Alice's is wonderful to work with, and if you do start getting nervous and really want a detailed estimate for your lovelies arrival then as they've told me in the past before (which I have done quite a bit) please don't hesitate to e-mail them with any questions. :3

 

I have absolutely wonderful news! My boy's body has been shipped from Alice's collection! Which is incredible and puts my production time at just around the 30 day mark or so! So fear not Mryxadiddly there is indeed light at the end of the waiting tunnel! I'll keep you guys posted with more info when I get him in

Though I am more than happy to have his head on his body xD who knew that Dragon Doll used such massive S-hooks ^^;

pictures just could not prepare me for all of the details I've come to love about him, he stood sans shoes right out of his box, and poses like a true champ. And I of course expected the resin couldn't be a perfect match only because no two companies really do have the exact same resin colors, but I will say I am extremely happy with how close the two go together (I think dragon doll's white skin is just a bit yellower). Better still it is very difficult to tell in photo's

I still can't quite figure out his name yet, but I do know that both he and my girl Kairi make an extremely adorable couple.

Oh and the side note, OMG those bits! ahahaha goodness I don't think I've had that good a laugh in a long time (I showed them to my friend and her mother who also cracked several jokes). While I doubt he'll ever get any use out of them, I may need to keep his standard one with the others until his undies arrive, as it has fallen off once already xD

 

Wow the match is really great! I have a pair of Delf hands on Val and they don't match so great, but I have a Delf hand fetish so they're staying.
Haha I want a Dragondoll Uncle just to experience the joys of removable bits. Haha not exactly sure what one would use them for! Maybe a racy photoshoot >~>

I know, I was uber pleasantly surprised :3

and nice, my girl Kairi is a full SDF Annette and her hands are simply gorgeous, however I am very impressed with the DD hands (especially the fully separated fingers), my only issue is that when someone was sanding him it looks like one of his hands had a slight accident so it's got these accidental grooves in it, which if I get him jointed hands anyways won't be all that noticeable.

Haha, yeah I couldn't believe those bits O_o I put them each on him for a few seconds and just about lost it, my friend suggested I should get them blushed xD

though so far so good, his posing is slightly stiff but then again, new cords, he holds them like a champ and that's far better than both of my single jointed ladies

 

Yes I really like the hands he came with, but the Delf hands are more expressive I think. =v= I plan to interchange them when the scene calls for it!
The Delf hands fit great, but Luts NS does not go so well with Dragondoll YS.


I might blush his arms a little to help, because they match quite well with his face thanks to all the pink and red in his face up.

That's a shame about the hands o3o I hope it's not too noticeable! My boy was quite stiff when he arrived, but I changed out his elastic and he's one of my best posers now. He wins 100% out of my dolls when it comes to arms. He does whatever I want him to.

 

Well it's only his left hand, and it's pretty noticeable in person which kind of sucks, but it doesn't bother me as much as I would think it should O_O

I do agree on that point though, Lut's hands are just striking, they are in fact one of my favorite brands of sculpted hands, which is really hard to beat, so I definitely can see why you want to use yours x3

 

I love Tam's hands as they are.

amethystblack061: depending on how you dress him, you may want to get a safe place for ALL of his penises. The Dragondoll "default" is more realistically sized, which is actually a problem in some outfits. It has been pointed out by many others that real flesh squishes. Resin doesn't. So if you get a well-fitted pair of pants for him, you may need to simply detach his bits altogether!

Tam's pants are cut very loose in his hips, but it's still pretty obvious if his penis gets twisted around the wrong way. Hello!
