Dream of Doll DoT Girl U-i Discussion

She looks mostly like the Dream head to me. I even held mine up to the screen and it's the same lips! xD Only makes me want her more so my boy can have a sister.

 

She actually looks more like a combination of Ducan, Dream and Tender elf Sha, like seriously, actually to be honest I assumed she looked a little more like Sha than the rest till I saw Ducan comments XD.
Personally, I find DOD very spectacular seeing as they 're-sculpt and sand' and claim them new, cause if they can do that and make the doll look so darn awesome, my adoration for them just went higher >w<

....*face desk* I wish I never checked DOD just to see their Code No.2, my mouse literally skimmed past Code and went for U-i, its pitiful really. Though she does get me curious, she looks very pretty, (Oh har har, just when I said I like very feminine dressed dolls in one of the previous threads) and bad ass too! *totally wants her dang it!* Though once more like another doll I commented on, I so want her as a dude on the new D.O.T body, would be so cool.

Though makes me wonder also how it's gonna fit seeing as the new body is supposed to have a thicker neck compared to the other bodies.

EDIT : Pretty much I know I ain't gonna get her seeing as I ain't to keen on getting a doll simular to my Ducan, *lol, no offense, if I wanted a doll that looked like Ducan, I would have directly bought another Ducan XD)

She is pretty though, pretty much know my mother isn't gonna like her sadly. *glooms*

 

I personally think she looks a bit more like Sha than Ducan. The jawline and lips are a near perfect match at least with me flipping back and forth between windows, but I see the nose being more Ducan than Sha now that I am looking at profile shots. U-i's lacks the little bit of point that Sha has.

She is pretty, and I am glad she is a basic. I was rather sad to have missed out on I-ra and the rest of DOD's elves, so at least if I want I can save up and bring this one home someday.

 

I just read that if you order during the period stated they will include the 'prop' and heels. Darnit, now she's just been bumped to the top of my list.
Her an my Calla would make a terrific set

 

DOD already announced Code No.01 when Code No.02 was released but there's still nothing until now :/
Instead Code No.07 and Code no.11 came out...
Let's see what happens in the future xD

U-i is really great and I decided to put her on my wishlist!

 

I think the reason why DOD doesn't release more DOB is because the demand for DOB seems very low. Just look at the DOD waiting room, there are just 1-2 person waiting for DOB. And DOB pictures are hard to find too.... So they think what's the point of releasing more DOBs?

It's definitely clear, that DOT is the most popular line from DOD, especially Ducan. So, I think this is how DOD's thoughts : "Hmm,,, Ducan is amazingly popular..... Why not create a girl doll that looks like him? She could be a hit too!!!"
OK, it's uncreative DOD, but indeed she is lovely xD

This is kinda coincidence for me, as these last few days I've been searching for girl molds with eyes like that. I've been thinking about Spiritdoll Freesia but she's too big for me and I don't like the way her eyes point upward.... And then DOD released U-i!! She's perfect for my character, and she's definitely on my list
(and unimportant, but U-i/UI is the name of my university... xD)

Also, anyone also thinks that it's weird for her to have elf ears? All the HM Quarter/Mist City/Codes story involved normal human, then why suddenly an elf popped in...?

 

I agree, the elf ears are sorta out in left field, lol. But hey, no complaints here! I adore love DoD's elf ears. U-i is really beautiful, I love her cute little nose, dreamy eyes, and full lips. It's funny, some people were saying that she looks like a tough girl, I was thinking she'd be perfect for my sweet dreamy girl. xD She is quite versatile!

And of course, they had to release her and the Black Code no.2 so close together. I go from not wanting anything from DoD to wanting two dolls, all at once. >.<

 

The requests for a female Ducan has been high, thats why i think U-i looks like him.

 

I suppose it's pretty much like lileychristie says, Ducan is perhaps, one of DOD's most popular dolls, then again I'd assume it's pretty original if they could mix three dolls into one. Am I the only one that actually likes how DOD's new elf ears look like now? Yeah sure, back then their ears were detailed but somehow I really like the new ones OwO

Dang it! They just had to release a TANNED Code No.2 didn't they? What next hmm? Oh I dunno...Code No.1 maybe? *Eager eager*

Also it could be possible that U-i isn't from Mist City or whatever the Code's are from, it never really was determined that she was, it might he possible she's from a different branch that DOD has yet to put out, *maybe the fact she's running to Mist City could be the hint? I dunno XD*

 

Maybe all the codes are fighting against elves!? So she must run away....... And maybe she fell in love with code no.1, despite all the codes that are chasing her...... *oh well, this is the side effects of reading too much manga*

And how do you all pronounce "U-i"? I always say her name as "Yui" (you-e)..... But I've been thinking about saying her name as "Yu-ai" (you-eye) too.....

And anyone here gonna order her before the 16th to get the extra gun?

 

I think you might be on the right track with the 'Yui', cause I really can't see that name as anything else but hmm..it could also be Yu-ai too.

Lawl, I find her plot quite sweet really, it's like they are both in love, *dreamy sigh* I know for one thing I won't be able to get her, thought that gun surely looks like its shooting temptation into me or something.

 

Lately DOD has made me remember why it was one of the first companies I ever loved!!! They released Black code 2 and U-i!! I see her as a more dynamic sister of tender shall!! Don't you think that Tender Shall and U-I would make lovely sisters?

 

I thought she was a boy at first! I do love her ears though! I wish Calla came out with these ears.. ;o;

 

WOW! I'm so behind in new releases. She's really gorgeous and would make the perfect sister to my I-Ra. I wonder if dod would let me get a tender shall face-up for her Question does D.O.D resin match peakwood ? I'd love her on a peakswood bitten body. ^__^

 

Maybe we both should request Calla with those ears and see if they will eventually release new version of Calla xD
except from M.Kaillar and T.Kaillar which are boys version of her.

 

Does anyone know if there are owner pictures of her up yet? My search skills are terrible, apparently x.x I'd really love to see her though!

I thought of an Elf Ducan when I first saw her. I think I had a mini-heart attack when I saw that she actually had elf ears. It is kinda funny she isn't limited, but I can't complain XD
