How was the communication?
Whenever I placed a message on their Q&A board (on their messageboard) they would reply either the same day, or the next day. They were very polite and their english was also quite okay for a Korean company.

How easy was it to pay?
I didn't have much experience with Paypal, and I actually didn't like the fact that you have to transfer the money yourself because they don't send you a payment-request. I actually almost forgot to add my order number because it was unclear to me... it worked out in the end!

How long did it take to ship?
It took DoD extremely long to ship (a little over 3 months), but that was probably mainly due to an overload of orders coming in for the christmas holidays.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes, but I think their dolls are very expensive, maybe a little too expensive... especially for the time I had to wait.

Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Yes, he looks scarily simular to their default pictures!

Were you satisfied with the product?
Yes, but there were a few downpoints...
- The elbow joint of his left arm was misshapen, making his arm look a bit out of place
- He was strung VERY tightly... this is dangerous because it could crack the resin! Now I have to restring him myself all over again...
- He had some glue in his eyelashes and a glossy spot on his cheek..

If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
Still awaiting an answer about the funny elbow joint at the moment (posted on their Q&A today, 31/01)

Would you order from this company again?
Maybe in the future... but maybe during some event, because now I didn't get the event-head nor discount on the clothes I ordered.. In the end this doll was much more expensive than I thought because of paypal fees and customs..

Certainly! Their resin seems to be good quality, so buying second hand would be equally nice!

9 weeks - although it was supposed to take 6 weeks, but it was around christmas, with the elf sha and tender sha heads.

Yes, I like the resin quality, and the seam lines are very minimal.
* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
The mold was right, but the eyes and wig changes the look slightly.
* Were you satisfied with the product?
Yes apart from the missing 4 magnets supposedly supplied with the cat ear parts.
* If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
I told them that the magnets were missing, they apologised and sent 8 magnets to me, not 4

good. I e-mailed them after ordering to ask a question and they replied quickly. However, they didn't send me an e-mail to say they had shipped my order so it arrived as a surprise.

66 days (9 weeks, 3 days), arrived 2 days after shipping (which is pretty unusually fast, in my opinion, especially at the weekend)

the pants, wig and body did. the event head had a different faceup so it wasn't supposed to.

Arrived on 7 Mar 2009~Took 70days to ship and 3 days on the road.
So,in total,I waited for 73days

Definitely~DOD dolls are nice and worth waiting and money^^

Yes~To me,my own one is even better thnthe icture...LOL
But the free event head was kinda rough...not as delicate as SHA head~

They were very prompt. I made the mistake of sending an e-mail on a Friday evening, so the question came back because they weren't there, but when I posted on the Q&A board, I got a response the very next day. They were so friendly too ^^

Used Paypal ^^ First time having to pay manually, but I figured it out quickly

* How long did it take to ship?
It was a 73 day wait (understandable, it was the holiday season), but shipping took 2 days o_o They must have rocketed it here or something.

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Oh, it's amazing. Her color is great, she's pretty heavy, and she's so big! I could have paid like $75 more, and still said it was worth it. The dress was on sale, and is well made and very cute ^^ The TE Sha head looks great too

* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Mine actually looks more pink, but still just as pretty. And wow, she's cute even without a face up! The head looks exactly like the pictures though (again, without face up). He's kind of a yellowish, but not in a bad way at all.

* Were you satisfied with the product?
Very much so. They were pretty much swamped with orders, but they still delivered high quality items.

Not so easy for me. ^^" I don't have a credit card to use for online payment (not old enough) so I have to use bank transfer and in Vietnam, it requires a whole lot of paper work before you can pay over 100$ to a foreign bank account

Arrived on the beginning of Jan. (about 3 months and 2 weeks) until i receive them (take about a week for the custom in VN to send it to me)

Yup

If you don't count the skin color then yup. ^^ because I order normal skin instead of gray so...

Slow but was expected. I did not contact them. I knew it would be a wait.

Comments: I think that DOD in general puts out beautiful, quality products. I believe that this prior year they were not fully ready for all the orders that came their way. I think that this will definitely be a learning experience as well as a wake-up call for for what possibly may happen again at this year's end. Hopefully they will learn from it and step up to make things a little better and easier for themselves as well as the consumer. Since we can only directly purchase "NEW" items from them we have no other choice but to go with the flow! That is exactly what I did for this ordering period...

- Per-se, yes.

- Yes. My only complaints are that she has random visible sanding marks all over her. This is something I would expect from FDoll, not DOD, considering her price. And I requested that they not paint her lips, they ignored me. + The MSC was splotchy on her face, thankfully I planned on touching it up anyways.

- I have bought this companies product second hand, a DOI Luke. They hold their quality very well, depending on the previous owner. I landed in a transaction with a very caring one.

They arrived March 2nd so, all together it took about 11 weeks.
From the day they shipped from Korea, it took about 4 days.

They replied my questions the next day and had been wonderful.

* How easy was it to pay?
Really easy. Just used credit card and gave them my copy of ID and the CC. I had done it before and it was no problem. They really are trustworthy.

God. The time wait was just so long. I had to wait for more than nine weeks for the little darling to be finally shipped. She arrived in just three days. She was shipped on the 17th of March, arrived on the 20th of March.

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
The little girl is even cuter in person.. Though I realised that her skin is not as smooth as the skin of my DoT Sha. The event head is even more rougher and there was a small gap between the headcap and the head for the event head.

* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
I think even better. I just love my small little girl.

* Were you satisfied with the product?
I am satisfied, though not satisfied with the long time wait. But then again, I ordered during a busy time for them. I am not so satisfied with one wig I ordered from DoD, but it's alright alltogether.

I actually did asked them to ship on on Wednesday last week, but they said they couldn't.. But they shipped a day before the day I had asked, and I was glad they managed to send her before I go for a sleepover in my close friend's house. So overall, I'm just happy with DoD as they made everything so perfect for me.

I am a loyal customer of them and yes, definitely going to order from them since I just love their dolls. They had never dissapoint me, and even if they did, I would still order from them, because their dolls are just pure love.

It depends on the price and also of the condition of the product, as well whether it is the doll I want. But well, yes, maybe. XD

Gott im Himmel, it took 3 months plus. But! They were very honest with me from the start on how long it would take, and this prepared me for the long wait.

There are still some rouge parts on the doll, which was already explained by the company before they sell the dolls that because they are tanned skin so it's will be harder to get rid of all of the rouge parts

Except for different eyes color then the rest are the same

Very happy (since I got an extra doll and an extra head)

Sometimes hard. Language blocade I think.
Sometimes I did not understand the message from them and it looked like sometimes they did not understand my message. ;__;
But still they were very kind and polite. ^^ And they agreed to many stupid requests that I asked. ^^"

How easy was it to pay?
Rather easy
I had to pay using bank transfer, and in my bank to do so you need a personal information of the person you're sendind money to. I asked DoD on Q&A Board, and they send me the information that I needed.

How long did it take to ship?
Awful long!! >_<

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
No.
My doll had a few flaws and I think that if I had to pay such a large amount of money, things like this should not happen. ><

Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Yes.

Were you satisfied with the product?
Umm... Like... In half. I was happy with my doll, but was dissapointed with some things:
*his flaws
*his make-up (awful eyebrows and weird, ugly dark line on his open mouth ><) (make-up almost not cleared at all, while washing the head with water and soap, some blush came off, but if you tried to wipe off the whole make-up, it turns out that they did not clear the head before painting, and so the paint and pastels left permament marks on the head) (the blush at the ears came off right away when I only washed his head with water) (paint chipping off of his nails)
*the sleeves in his dress are too small, and it's hard to put them on. looks like it's the fault of the thumb, it's in the way >< and a little bit too small pants (shows some of his butt when he sits down XD)
*seaming lines almost not sanded down at all

If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
I writed to DoD about the flaws on my doll and they said that they will replace the broken parts with new ones if I send them the old parts (and I've done that on 5th of January '09, if I remember correctly).
The spare parts that were send to me have good resin match with the rest of the body, but:
*the whole process of disscusing it with them was rather long
*the time that I had to wait to receive the parts was long as well
*one of the flaws were small holes in both hands, and the new hands had holes as well. Much more smaller, but still. In the same places
*at two places on my doll there were places with totally different colour, I claimed it as a flaw, but DoD said that "things like this can happen" and refused to do anything with this
*they have promised to return the money I had to pay for shipping, but before they did that, I had to remind them a few times. But after they send me the money I have discovered that they send a little bit more, looks like it was a compensation

Would you order from this company again?
Don't know. But I like many dolls from DoD, so maybe I will.
But if I ever do... I WON'T order a make up! >_<

If the products are not broken/flawed, are in good condition and have a resonable price.
