Jut got my Nox today. Almost didn't. His tracking said he was delivered, but there was nothing in my box, no notice. I took a chance and asked the guy at the desk if he could look up by name (like an idiot, I forgot to bring in the tracking number) and he did. Worst part, he wasn't labelled correctly and I may never have got notice of him, if I hadn't asked! Unfortunately, his wings were broken. He's fine (and, naturally, keeping mum about his name), but the wings broke apart like when you break a wishbone. : / I emailed about it, but don't know if I'll get a response tomorrow or next week. Hopefully it can be fixed easily enough. LM
I am so sad that i missed out on Gaia, so I will need lots of spam pictures when everyone gets them! I was hoping to get one too :/ Oh well so is life I guess. I might try and save up to order Feilene I have an addiction to these tiny ones, does anyone know when the pre-order time ends? It doesn't say on the site.
Hmm, I double checked the sales page for mini Feilene but I didn't see a date for when the sales stops. I think 14cm Feiline might be re-released again because she's really popular. I really like Gaia too so I hope to see more dolls like him/her. My Elvenia is finally in the US! The tracking only works on the international site and not on USPS yet. I'm so excited!
I haven't received a shipping notification of my Gaia yet, hopefully soon.... he looks amazing PrincessR lucky you! Has anyone else ordered Chibi Feilene? I did and am so excited to meet her when she comes home!
YAY! I am so glad these guys are on topic! I have Nox on order, and I can't wait to get him. Love the pictures, and I will be sure to post mine when he arrives! I have been looking for pictures of these guys in action as the ones online are so small... Hurray for DoA!
I'm going to cry! Ok maybe not...I didn't know that my girl would ship with DHL and missed her delivery last night! T_T Oh well...now I have a reason to look forward to Monday.
I'd stopped and picked up my mail Friday morning, got an order from Soom, which was a bit disappointing (makeup request they'd agreed to was ignored, and there were no magnets inside the head, just the recesses for them!) , so it was wonderful to find out another package had arrived during the day, and I raced to get it after work. She is AMAZING! So tiny, so perfect, and her clear-resin pieces gleam like gummy candy. I got number 1 ... so impressed with that I contacted Donny about the wings, he will send a new set, and said it was OK to glue the broken ones (I was worried they might be needed as evidence by the courier so hadn't touch them yet) Guls207, I feel for you. In theory I should've waited till Monday too ... but the local depot is close to our home, so I called them - and by chance Gaia had made it back there before close of business - so I went to pick him up. PrincessR, very cool photo! Did you "charge up" Gaia by keeping her in sunlight earlier in the day? I haven't tried any glowy shots yet. Was thinking about it today at work - knew there'd be some downtime, so I took both Gaia and the much older Ilona fairy I recently got, and compared them. Am I correct that the Ilona is regular polyurethane resin? She seems much more opaque. And what was the Ilona's original tone? I'm guessing white, because she's - well, not yellowed, but *ivory'd out* somewhat. I'll post the photos I took probably tomorrow night, after resizing them.
So beautiful! I haven't got Milo yet. I hope he arrives today. I ordered him to be without blushing but we'll see if he turns up like that.
Thanks AmayaBambi hobbywhelmed ... I must confess, much to my shame that no, I did nothing special to the dolls before hand and they do not look this bright to my naked eyes. All the hard work was done by my overly clever camera. The room was pitch dark when I took the picture but as you can see, the camera compensated and you can actually some of the background features in the picture. My camera is just too clever for my own good and this photo is simply the result of me taking the photo in automatic mode (about 18 seconds later the photo is taken) I need to take a manual pic to reflect what I actually see - which is definitely not that bright: the real glow is more ethereal and less alien-like Rosslyn - oh yeah, I forgot yours is coming un-blushed - can't wairt to see the result
I got my doll...broken thanks to DHL. T_T Yes I cried. My parents felt so bad they offered to buy me another one...until they found out how much she cost. I wrote DHL a VERY angry complaint. I've already contacted Donny and he kidly let me know that he will send a replacement soon. *thank GOODNESS* I still want to cry though. So sad.
