1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

DreamHigh Studio 14cm: Gaia, Velenia, Feilene, Nox, Nero, Ilonia, Elvenia, Elvene

Apr 27, 2013

    1. oh guls *BIG virtual hugs*
Please don't let it affect your bonding with your gorgeous doll.
Repair with superglue whilst waiting for the new face plate. I swear it will make you feel better.

grrr DHL, I swear they had something to do with Gaia's broken wing too.
      grrr

    2. Well DHL sent me a survey thing to fill out for a claim but I doubt they will do anything to help to be honest. :(
I have her perched on a sculpture my sister made for me. It's serving as her throne. :XD: I already love her to bits...I just wish she wasn't in bits. :...( I'll look up exactly which brand of super adhesive is recommended.

    3. I just ordered Gaia on layaway and I cannot wait to get her! Do you know if her head piece is removable?

    4. ohmyhi, the head piece or the horns/antlers are magnetic.
the magnet holding them on is inside the head and totally seamless so you can remove them and put them back on very easily.

    5. My Gaia shipped on july 1, got into the USA on July 5, and has been somewhere in the US, presumably some customs office or something, since July 5.... AUUUUGH. Tracking says it is "on hold". Let go of my doll, Customs!!

    6. Ok that's awesome! I was a little worried because I do think they're gorgeous but I also think she's gorgeous without them lol I really do love Nero's look (I wish it was easier to balance her with her wings :/ )

Hopefully you'll get her soon :)

    7. ohmyhi - yep, removable. The wings attach via a single round magnet at their joined base, so if you bump her into something while posing, they might rotate a bit, but they'll stay on. Here's Gaia without her fiddly bits, next to the older Ilonia I'd gotten:

Rosslyn: Sorry you're still waiting! Didn't they tell her she's supposed to take a plane to get cross-country, not the local roads!

PrincessR: is your camera a point-and-shoot, a semi-DSLR, or a full DSLR? I have to start thinking about my next camera, and low-light magnificence is very high on my list of requirements!

    8. Hobbywhelmed - thank you for the picture and reply! I had assumed it was removable but so far I'd only seen pictures of her with it so I got a little worried hahaha. I have to ask how balancing her with her wings works for you? I have Nero and her wings are a good size but I have trouble making her stand with her wings or sit without her falling back :/

Also I see you're interested in cameras :P I have a SONY A77 and LOVE IT! I do know that Canon's Ti rebel can take amazing photos! Just some suggestions :P

    9. I plan to give my Gaia some other wings as options. I love magnetic wings.

Thanks, I do wish he'd hurry up and escape from the clutches of Big Brother. Since these guys don't have bits to speak of, my Gaia is gonna be a guy- His name is apparently Milo, and the little twerp intends to smoke fairy cigs when he thinks he can get away with it. He's a cynical sort of fairy but with a heart of gold, and he likes to give advice- solicited or not.

    10. Hey everyone! I have been eyeing these dolls for a while but I have never dealt with Dream High before. Can anyone tell me how well the posing is for the 14cm fairy bodies, like with nero and gaia? I see that chibi feilene is offered too... does anyone know about her body type? Im curious about this because they are so small! I got a DC ada recently and her arms are soooo thin I find it hard to pose her, if the fairies are similar I may be better off getting a chibi version that looks more "sturdy"? But I love the lanky body T^T I hope someone can advise >>

    11. ArouraAnn ~ I have 3 of DHS's 14cm dolls (pictured). I also have 4 DC Ada's. By comparison.... well, scratch that - there is no comparison to the DHS dolls. They pose so extremely well, and they hold their poses. I have lots of tinies (under 15cm tall dolls), and even though my favourites are actually realpukis, I have to be honest and say the DHS 14cm dolls pose better. They are easier to move and they hold their poses better. The Ada's don't feel nearly as sturdy to me, and their joints are a little impractical (though I love my Ada's anyway).
Although I hate to admit it, I have (accidentally) dropped my DHS dolls from tree branches whilst doing outdoor pics of them.... a few times actually. And they have never broken, chipped or been harmed in any way.

I have Chibi Feilene on order too. I also have a couple of the rhinos, they pose just as well as the 14cm fairies. This is one of my favourite bjd companies at the moment as far as overall quality (posing and jointing), combined with personality and imagination, goes. They are absolutely fantastic quality and such gorgeous dolls, I'm definitely addicted to them lol! :)

I received my gaia today as a birthday gift, she is gorgeous! Absolutely love her. Here she is with her sisters ~

    12. Thank you GJOYfulBears! That is exactly what I was hoping to hear :)
      DHS seems to have jumped from being off the radar to havng tons of dolls I want >> I have officially ordered a nero and chibi, hopefully once funds recoup I can find a pink or white rhino baby too ^^;

Your dolls are lovely! I think they are playing tricks on me though, I turned down gaia because of her half closed eyes, but in your picture it looks like her eyes are open just at much as neros, and feilene is the sleepy one!

    13. Well done on ordering nero and chibi :) Looking forward to seeing your pics of them.

No, they're not playing tricks. My Gaia was ordered with a custom face plate with the rounded eyes as I think it makes them look friendlier. Feilene has the same open eyes, it is just that in this photo she is looking down whereas the other two are looking directly at the camera ~ her eyes look the same as the other two though. (It is difficult sitting 3 dolls in one hand whilst balancing the camera in the other hand for pics lol).

Hope I don't get in trouble for posting another pic so soon (if it's not ok to post, someone please let me know and I'll remove it), but thought this would help, the dolls are looking at the same angle in this pic and it shows the eye shape better ~

    14. How cool! I would have never thought of making such a request... I will have to keep that in mind for future orders!
I think its fine to post all the pics you want as long as they are one per post, plus I love seeing your dolls out in nature :)
FF&D said the chibis should be arriving very soon (and DHS updated that they shoud ship out today!) so I am super excited for adorable owner pics while I wait to pay mine off!
I will do my best to get some pics, I have been planning all kinds of habitats and houses they might live in

So I was just playing with this trim and it somehow turned into a fairy nest! I guess baby Feilene will have a place to sleep now, Hollywocket is just keeping it warm for her ;)

    15. Oh, keep up the pics! one per post is fine, but I love seeing what other people's fairies are up to!

Question: do you have a character for your fairy, or is it a simply cute thing you like to pose and play with?

Customs didn't have it, the postal service out of Asia insists my address is not correct or real or something and therefore refuses to reliquish my paid property...? Something like.

So since even Donny cannot get whichever postal service it is who has it to let go of my doll, he is sending me a new one! YAY!

DHS customer service is just so splendid.

    16. Milo is here! I havent opened the box yet but he's here! So excited.

      EDIT:
      Here he is!
Looking a bit disgruntled to be blushed in mint and pink, too. It's cute but it's definitely not him. He's going to get a redux in blue and silver.

    17. I got my girls today! I am head over heels for Nero, and while I like my chibi Feilene im a little off-put by her size. Im actually worried about losing her somewhere and I feel weird spending so much on something so small... Do any of you have these problems? Can anyone give advice on how to get over them?

    18. Congrats!
About her size- Play with her! go find a dollhouse for her to explore. Take her Antiquing and get some pics of her sitting in a teacup. Get creative. See if you like her.
Please post about her and any adventures you have together, over here in the DHS Tinies thread, where you can chat with the rest of us who have the wee teeny ones, including a few other Chibi Feilenes.

    19. AuroraAnn, Congratulations!!! Your little one is adorable!

    20. Okay, here's the new blush and faceup on my Gaia boy, Milo.
      Unstringing him was an adventure...

(Edit: The original image was broken but here's a replacement that shows his blue blushing.)
