1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

DreamHigh Studio Discussion Thread - Part 2

Oct 27, 2015

    1. Hello everyone! I have the DreamHigh Studio Willie and anxiously awaiting Ben to arrive. Can anyone tell me where a good place to find clothes for them is? I have pants for my little guy, who is a baker, but am having a devil of a time finding clothes perhaps for other dolls that could work for him. I also am looking for shoes. I found that RealFee feet are just a smidge longer, and just perfect for width. Any ideas for finding elf type shoes? The clothes I am hoping to find are for a male, elvish in nature and that would work for being a elf baker. Thank you in advance for any advice!

What I have discovered if anyone hasn't yet, is that Mini Ginny clothes fit the house elfs (but they only have girl clothes that I have found) and they can wear PukiFee. =)

    2. Summomo82 on Etsy has some great brown suede shoes do related! I'm on my cellphone and having a hard time getting a link to them. I have bought from her and she makes great shoes.

    3. Thank you! I will try to look there. I did find one pair of brown shoes, e-mailed the seller and she said they wouldn't work for him. I will see if the seller you mentioned has any. I found that PukiFee shoes are not viable, they aren't wide enough. I compared my Willies feet to my RealFee Toki (wearing his shoes from the fullset) and they're only a tiny bit shorter than Toki, and the width is perfect. It has been an arduous adventure trying to find anything male!

    6. I used 1mm elastic to restring Richi. I also found some wire that works. It is Paddle Wire 26 guage - it's florist wire and fits easily. I got it in silver from Amazon, but the green from Dollartree works.

    7. Have you tried Spampy? She is an incredible sewest for BJDs and does dolls of similar size. I don't see a DreamHighStudio elf listed as one of her available models but if you are willing she accepts dolls sent for "wardrobe vacations" and can them make an entire collection for you. Her mom makes hats too.

I don't know if we are allowed to direct link to seller's pages here, but if you just Google "Spampy" you'll find her website.

    8. there's several Ruby Red Galleria shoes that fit my House Elves (note: I am always very very careful putting them on, any resistance met by the toes and I skip that shoe style)

    9. because I can't track any further then indonesia, donny is going to try to find out where my willie is. but perhaps they are held hostage at customs:)

    10. Yes, Donny is trying to find out, it's such a shame, isn't it....

    11. Photo request.

I would love to see photos of DreamHighStudio House Elves posed with furniture, roomboxes, and doll houses so I can get a better idea where they fit in size wize. I know they are considered to be about the size of a Fairyland Pukifee doll, which I've had, but then people say they have 1:12 scale doll houses and furniture that work with them. But I thought 1:12 scale furniture was much smaller!

So if you have an House Elf I'd love to see him or her with props that you know the scale of. If you 1:12 scale (traditional doll house size) furniture that you know does NOT work with the House Elf I'd be interested in seeing that too. Thanks so much!

    12. @Wovenflame If you don't mind joining groups on facebook, the facebook group called 'DreamHigh Studio Dreamers' has loads of user pictures with doll furniture. Lori furniture, wearing pukifee clothing, tiny doll houses, etc. I don't want to repost pictures that aren't mine, but it sounds like what you are looking for is all there :)

If you don't want to join the facebook group, let me know and I will find some useful examples and ask the users for permission to post them here.

    13. Thanks for your prompt answer. I'm a member there, but I still feel confused and unsure. I guess what I'm really wanting is for someone to say, "This is for sure a 1:12 scale chair or couch made for doll houses and this is how it looks with a DreamHighStudio elf sitting in it. What I mean is I see people posting pictures but they usually don't say what the actual chair size is or where they got it. A few people have posted pictures of furniture, houses, or room boxes they intend to use for the elf, but they don't have theirs yet either. I would like to see for myself what an elf looks like sitting in a 1:12 scale chair (especially an upholstered doll house chair, but any will do).

The Ben's are supposed to be finished in February and I'm anxious to have at least some sort of chair for mine to sit in when he arrives. I do have a doll house kitchen chair. If that will be big enough he can wait there while I look for, or preferrably make, him an upholstered arm chair.

    14. Perhaps these pictures will help. This is Willie with several dollhouse chairs. The smaller green plaid chair is by Bespaq. The pink Victorian style chair is a vintage chair by Leonetta. Both are 1:12 true dollhouse scale. The tomato is real!

    15. Lovely images! Pretty helpful. I love the tiny tomato :XD:

I'm pretty excited that Willie fits so well on a 1:12 scale chair! There's so much choice, that's going to be awesome finding furniture for them.

    16. That is immensely helpful! Thanks SO much! How wonderful that these elves really do fit with 1:12 scale furniture. If anything I'd even say his legs are a little short for the chairs. Perhaps he'd like a stool, like my grandma. LOL

That last link doesn't actually go to the picture of Willie standing beside the chairs. It's a repeat of one of the others. I can see the standing one in the collage one though. Thanks!

Just this evening I had my daughter bring over her Pukifee so I could try her out "for size". Though I have owned two myself in the past, they have been sold and it's been awhile. I had lost touch with how small they really are. I tried her on a simple 1:12 scale kitchen chair and table set and was surprised how natural the size looked. Oddly enough when I stood her in a doll house she looked way too big -- but the furniture is fine. That's okay with me, I'll build my incoming Ben a room box but I will be able to buy a few pieces of 1:12 furniture and use standard dollhouse furniture tutorials for the rest.

Thanks for setting my mind at ease.

That was exactly my thought too! So excited to be in a position to welcome this new guy into my home. How refreshing to have a bjd that isn't young!

    17. Those little elves are precious. How wonderful that something so unique will fit 1/12 scale.

    18. Thinks for letting me know about the link! I fixed it.

With their big heads, I imagine they would look too big in a standard doll house.

    19. I totally agree! The old age of the elves is what I love about them. I like the upcoming twins too, but they're almost slightly too young for me. I plan on trying to get one anyway because they're adorable and I love their fairytale realism. I would love another oldy or something with equally oldish looks. Maybe a haggard goblin or troll, similar to gobble would be ideal for me :)

    20. oh boy I never mind waiting for a doll, but donny send out my willie on 21th of december and still he is not here...I can't track any further then indonesia.....so I am afraid he is lost. Normally when donny sends to the netherlands it will take about two weeks or so, but this time???? Are there more people from the netherlands here that are still waiting??
