1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

DreamHigh Studio Discussion Thread - Part 2

    1. That is an awesome setting MB Lilac. All the different sizes mesh so well together and the costumes are to die for. Just brilliant.

    2. That's a wonderful setting too, MB Lilac. I always enjoy your scenes!

    3. I have Hiro, he's a fantastic poser and has jointed fingers too. I opted to buy the three face plates on offer. I love my little guy.

    4. So many fun photos to see here. Little Richi has the prettiest pen ever. MB Lilac, what a wonderful new scene. There is such richness of detail, the pink winged fairy is sitting on a tree stump, the dragon is eyeballing the goodies, and Willie looks so happy surrounded by her loved ones and cake. It makes me want to shrink myself and join them all.
And those cute little minion outfits!
News from Danny. Dreamhigh on Facebook announced that Phairby Flowers the fairy godmother will go on sale May 28th. Does anyone know how much she will cost? Oh, and something weird. I googled Phairby Flowers a few days ago to see if there was any news. There wasnโ€™t, but there were more than one actual people with that name. Such a perfect name for a fairy.

Is anyone planning to order Phairby Flowers? I'm pretty sure I am, when the price for a blank one is announced.

    5. Phairby Flowers is out! And it appears she is limited in time, not by number, which is good! I quite like her, and I'm tempted. However, I recently got a second hand Willie elf and doll money is tight. Phairby Flowers is a really well made doll, as always from DreamHigh Studios, and the price is always very fair. I've got time to mull it over, I may cave haha!

    6. Did you see the animation of her wings flapping? Mine will need those wings. I like Willie a lot too, but I missed out on them, and not too long ago got a Mo the owl so doll money is a bit tight
Are there any advantages or disadvantages to purchasing directly from the factory or from Fabric and Friends?

    7. I ordered her! Blank, with no clothes, or wig, or anything. I already have an idea of what I want her to look like, so I guess I'll be busy once she comes, especially since I'll also need costumes for dolls who could benefit from a Fairy Godmother

    8. I have always purchased directly from Dream High Studio but they have a close relationship with Fabric and Friends. In fact all USA orders are shipped EMS to Fabric and Friends and they send them on by priority mail.

    9. Me too! I bought a secondhand Willie yesterday and I couldn't be more excited. I was going to buy Phairby Flowers as a housemate to Ben but luckily for me Willie's previous owner listed her for sale a few days before Phairby's sales opened. Good thing too since I never could have afforded both and Willie has always been my first love. Even my Ben was a compromise. So while everyone else is excited about getting in on the Phairby order I'm going to be dancing the yippity skippity dance over acquiring a Willie!

Willie has always been my favourite but having almost completely left the ball jointed doll hobby I was "out of the loop" and didn't hear about the amazing dolls being produced by Donny of DreamHighStudios until both Aldou and Willie were long sold out. I hope one day you are able to acquire one.

I'm really glad to hear that. You do such wonders with your dolls. I look forward to seeing what you come up with for Phairby.

    10. @ElaineU I did not see the animation of her wings flapping. I just went to watch it and it's a very cute animation! For others who have also not watched it, it's here:

I like that the wings and clothes are separate, so that you literally don't have to buy the fullset for a couple of items you may like. That's very helpful in saving some pennies!

As @nancy_schroeder_ca says, all US orders go through fabric and friends anyway. The dealer has always done really well in sending all other previous elves out. I think they're reliable. If you're not in the US, then it's faster to order directly. I'm in the UK and my Ben arrived slightly earlier than others, I assume because he didn't need to be sorted out by a middle man.

Also, as for acquiring a Willie doll, you'd be surprised by how often they seem to go up for sale to me. You will be likely to pay more than the original price, but that's our pain in missing out on the original sale :( Watch out on ebay and the facebook group 'DreamHigh Studio Dreamers' - I do see Willie on sale a lot more than I see Aldou! Which is just my luck really, because I would go hungry in order to get hold of an Aldou, haha!

@Wovenflame I'm totally with you! I brought Willie as a companion to Ben. I really like Phairby Flowers, but Willie is cuter to me. I think it's because the other elves remind me of older people in my family, so it makes them more endearing to me. They have features that look more familiar to me. Phairby Flowers definitely also has this, but not for people as close to me, so it's much harder for her to compete haha!

I think I'll miss out on her for this, as I'm quite happy with my little elf family of Ben, Willie and Oli (when he arrives). I also always want to make sure I have money put aside on the off chance an Aldou goes on sale :P

@MB Lilac Can't wait! Customs of these elves are always very beautiful.

    11. My Ben is busy dusting, as all his books, scrolls and household goods finally arrived from afar. He's just learned that his wife and twins are coming home soon!

    12. Your Ben certainly has his work cut out for him!

My Willie is currently busy overseeing her annual dandelion wine production....

    13. MB Lilac: All the details! The dragon wearing an apron with steam rising from the kettle! The kettle itself and the little stove underneath. The lovely color of the wine. It does seem like a good idea to undertake such a project outdoors! Of course, Willie looks like she knows what she's doing.
El BJD: Ben certainly has a nice place there, although it's gotten a bit messy without his wife. A wife and twins are coming! Oh boy, I can't wait to see them. Those books and scrolls look so cool. He must be quite a scholar.
ella_tron: Thank you for posting the Phairby Flowers wing stop action movie. I can't watch that enough.
      Wovenflame: Congratulations on finding Willie!

    14. Thanks, ElaineU! His books and scrolls just arrived, and he was looking for a particular scroll. He's reading it by the fire now, before heading to bed. :)

(I made his feather duster, books and scrolls. It was quite fun and kept me busy during the long winter here on the Canadian prairies.)

    15. Ben looks cute wearing his reading glasses. :love What a nice cozy room and glowing fireplace.

    16. Thank you!!!

    17. I'm thrilled, since Willie was the one that attracted me to the HouseElves in the first place.

I've got Ben helping me come up with a wardrobe for his wife, Wilhelmina. First order of business was to get the proper undergarments made. Can't have Willie feeling less than womanly. LOL

    18. Hillarious as that bra looks on Ben, I'm sure your Willie will appreciate it very much! I have some stretchy lace I'd planned on using for Phairby, but that'll have to wait until her actual arrival, since we have no measurements as yet.

    19. That's great! I'd better not let my Willie see that!

    20. He's now standing around in pink stockings as well, but no photos just yet. I think maybe I'll wait until she can model them.
