I guess it is her face they rules are very strict......is lulu on topic then? did the mods already said so? would be great.
I don't understand if they are made of resin. I like both dolls, and more. I wish I had dolly money too.
I just can't wait to see Lulu in different outfits and wigs. The personaization everyone puts into them makes them all look different. I can already see the lilac version in a multi purple tone wig
Just to cover a lot of the questions brought up in this thread about DH dolls: For whatever reason, Lulu is far enough in the Aesthetic Direction the Mods want for this forum that she has been granted On-Topic status. I think it's how her face is more humanoid. Sylph, Mimi and Lulu are made out of Donny's particular special type of resin. Sylph was probably never considered for Topic-ness here because she has little hinge joints for her ankles and wrists instead of ball joints. Also, she resembles Squee and Boo, so she would not likely be considered "Asian Aesthetic" anyway, if Boo and Squee are not. Mimi isn't On Topic, most likely for Aesthetic reasons as well. As far as I know, Donny's other Dream High Studios ball-jointed resin dolls ARE On-Topic.
Oh, Rosslyn! That is wonderful news! I'm so glad that Lulu is On-Topic! I've ordered a NS fullset and hope that this thread will not be a lonely one. Hint, hint everyone. Go buy a Lulu to keep us company.
Well, if it is about Sylph's face, that does not make sense to me. It looks rather human like to me. Fidelia Firefly is allowed. I do see, however, what you mean about the hinge on the wrist. I didn't notice that before. I wish she were allowed. I like the tiny Squee and Boo dolls too. Oh, well. It is not like I can buy any now. It will be fun to see the pretty Lulu dolls here. Congrats Jen. A fullset sounds fun. Which resin did you get then?
Just normal skin...no glow-in-the-dark...I like the idea of GID but didn't think that I'd ever take any pictures of it so I just went with the basic.
I don't know what exactly comprises "Asian Enough" but questions in that direction tend to be frowned upon. Firefly got a Yes, Squee and Boo etc. got a No, and I've never heard that the Mods changed their minds on Aesthetics once they'd decided, so discussion of those dollies will have to be on other forums. I'm really hoping for a future doll from Dream High with a Lulu-like body and a smaller more humanoid fairy or elf head, with GID resin. Lulu's face and head size just isn't a look I'm personally fond of, but she is darned cute.
My girl arrived today. She is beautiful. She holds a pose perfectly. Her wig has not arrived yet so she is using this one until it does. Her body blushing is wonderful, the resin has a lovely quality to it, very smooth. The joints move perfectly and she is such a tiny graceful creature. Oh she is precious! This just compounds my wish for a Sylph-like smaller head on this little body! Don't you love the resin? I have an off topic doll by DH Studio and the resin is so fine but so durable feeling!
I adore the resin. I have Four of Donnys other creations plus Sylph and now Lulu. The new resin has a wonderful tooth to it. They are fragile yet strong and they feel so lovely in your hands. Just glorious. The mechanics of the body is a wonder , she can do anything!
Congrats imajica! She is so cute and that is nice she has a sister too. It is fun to see and hear about the new dolls. It sounds like she is a winner.
Coucou Dollightful !I think so too !She is perfect.I am tempted . But as my dolls are little children in real life ...how and, where can I find a place for her ?!!! Imajica ,your pics are amazing. So many details!
