1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

DreamHigh Studio's New 10.5cm LULU (super poseable articulations)

Jan 26, 2011

    1. Oh goodie, a place to chat about off topic DHS dolls *registers*. I recently ordered a Haru, my first tiny. I would like to get him some friends later on... maybe a Lulu and/or a Tiko. Juniper you must post pics of your Lulu when you get her. I haven't seen any pics of the lilac Lulu aside from the promotional ones.

    2. Oh, he's so nice! What color did your order? These dolls look so incredibly small that I can't believe how nicely they pose and the beautiful scenes people make for them! I'm anxious to hold her. Congrats on your first tiny, too!!

    3. Thanks! I ordered him in normal skin, but I was tempted to get him in tan. I know what you mean. I don't know what to make of the super tiny size and body but they look very well made! I can't wait to see him in person.

    4. Congrats seafoam! You are right, they are very well made. They do have incredible movement, juniper, and the poses hold exactly where you decide. Donny's engineering is amazing. Plus he has developed an unbreakable resin. You won't see any seams either.

By the way, seafoam, my avatar is Tiko and Niko (Tiko twins with "human" eyes).

    5. I do so love Haru. Especially his ears! Hard to pic the color. It would be nice if they showed all three colors next to each other for comparison purposes. The engineering is great on these little ones.

    6. So I just checked to remind myself of the production time for Lulu and at three weeks in, I'm about half way there. I also noticed that Haru is "Sold Out" so Seaform, you did good to order him when you did! I was at JoAnns today looking for silk flowers that might be converted to a fairy dress but the petals all seemed too stiff or ridged or both. I have a small amount of very fine silk and some Procion dyes so I may try making my own flower petals - you get the color you want that way! I'm all about making stuff myself but my sewing experience is all on a much larger scale, my knitting skills are nonexistent and I can crochet snowflakes, period. Although tiny snowflakes might make a lovely dress.

    7. juniper222 I am glad I didn't wait any longer to order him! For petals you might want to check in the scrapbooking section. I think they have packs of individual fabric petals and leaves for scrapbooks that should be more pliable to make into clothing.

calliope13 I also would have liked to see a photo of Haru in all colors. I ended up changing my order to tan skin but it was a hard choice... I figure i'll get a normal skin doll next time.

    8. If you already have a DreamhHigh Studio BJD, is the estimated prep time of 4-6 weeks accurate? I want some shots of my purple Lulu with my raspberries and they are almost finished. There are wild ones in the woods that haven't turned black yet but they are so tiny. Maybe just the right size for Lulu.

    9. Yes ordinarily it is very accurate. If you convo Donny he is more than obliging and will do all in his power to help you. The only reason for the slight delays this last month is that he was caught up with his wedding arrangements. Send him an email, he will tell you when she is due for posting. I hope it is soon, love the idea of woodland fruits

    10. The girls both got new beadloom gallery bikinis. Even tho it is winter here, they insisted on wearing them. They claim the matching little shoes are all the warmth they need.

    11. How big would a goosebump be on one of these girls? Their bikinis are Soooo cute! I got my shipping notice for Lulu today!! Talk about goosebumps.

    12. We need more pics of these lovelies. Anybody?

    13. Here are the girls in competition for the affections of Kestrel (Haru)
