I don't think I mentioned that I made Viv some slippers the other day... It was cheaper to use an extra swatch I had from my fabric book and just make them than find some that fit her little feet that weren't outrageously priced.
Agreed! I'm not feeling either of the new girls, Betsy or Alina. Although I'm likewise not into anime or anime-styled BJDs, I do like large(-ish) eyes on dolls; but Alina's eyes look "too anime" for my tastes, and I generally dislike eyes that point down at the ends. Coupled with her high forehead, prominent jowls, and visible teeth, she's a total no-go for me (I know just what you mean when you say there's "something weird about her face"). But I'm sure she appeals to other collectors -- she's just not my cup of tea! Betsy is much cuter than Alina IMO, but her sculpt is so similar to Misora's (and I already have Misora).
vadafade YES her jowls are totally prominent!! I think that's what bothers me most about her. She's just not appealing to me at all... That must be part of why I like Betsy - Misora was the first sculpt I fell in love with. I just think Betsy's little open mouth is super adorable. I just don't really like her face up that much...the freckles are cute but there's something I'm just not a fan of with the rest of it. XD Mirrin those little slippers are so cute! I've been looking up tutorials for making little shoes for them since their feet are so small. x_x
I find Alina cute. Her large eyes and visible teeth are fitting in my aesthetics very well. Although I like Airi also. Betsy on the other hand is not that appealing, she looks younger in a mature body. But that is just me
Oh, I totally agree! To me, Betsy looks so much like Misora, and I've always felt that Misora has a very young-looking face atop an inexplicably mature, adult body. Her gigantic boobs and hourglass figure are so incongruous with her innocent, childlike face sculpt! Her promo shots, especially, make her face look like she's 10-12 years old -- and I think Betsy has a similar youthful aesthetic. It's just so strange to me that these childlike faces are perched on such mature bodies.

has anyone put their DreamingDoll heads on other bodies? i really like the Betsy sculpt, but as it's been said before, she has a younger face, and I really dont think it matches the body. I was thinking of the Doll Chateau Kid body (1). can any one give me a resin comparison to either the whites or the normal skin/pink skin/yellow if they have a DC sculpt, or a picture of other resins that are compatible?

I don't remember why I changed my mind and decided just decrease her chest by modification in future. My Lia is from may 2012. I have a DZ doll in pinkskin from february 2012 (before they changed the resin, she is a more rich pink). I also have a DZ doll that arrived 22 days ago, also pink skin new from the company, and she's more pale pink. Neither of these work with DDoll resin. Did you paint Lia's lower mouth to look like she is smiling without the whole teeth? I like her that way!
Hello everyone! I don't have a dreaming doll yet, but think they're really beautiful. I was wondering if anyone knows if the resin would match Doll Leaves normal resin? And furthermore, if a Doll Leaves head would fit onto a Dreaming Doll body? If anyone could help, I would appreciate it. Thank you!
@MasahtiJade: Just checked: DS normal skin is slightly pinker than DDoll. And do you want to put a DS head onto a DDoll boy or girl? With girl I think it's going to look slightly bubble headed as DS defintily goes in the 7-8 size (at least my Maya does) while DDoll definitly has 6-7 heads. At least with the girls. Currently waiting on my boy, so can't say for that. He should be shipped next week or the week after thought.
Thanks for letting me know. pink is a no go......I think I will risk it with the white resin, then, unless anyone knows about the DC white and Ddoll white.
It was a DS girl head onto a DDoll girl body. But yeah... bobble-headed is not my favorite and the DS does indeed have a 7-8 head. But the DDolls are still very beautiful, even if they won't hybrid with DS.
If it is no hurry, i could put Maya on a girl body next weekend and take a pic so you can see for yourself. On a side note: I got a silvester party boy yesterday xD my ddoll hiro arrived yesterday! He's incredible handsome and gorgeous and damn can he pose!!! -*0*- Really glad i got him in the event ^^
