1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Ebay recasts: can we report them?

Feb 6, 2014

    1. The best thing to do on Ebay is simply report them through the Ebay system. Also note, if you do link to a shop or post their user names, it would get removed, as DoA doesn't allow linking to recast sellers. :)

    2. Best to buy from a legitimate dealer or the company. It would be awful to be cheated into a recast so yes report them to ebay.

    3. Like I was before learning about them:doh

I reported them to eBay and emailed the original company in case they wanted to do anything.

    4. What's more disturbing is that there are a LOT of people out there who WANT to purchase recast dolls. I've learned this recently by joining a few BJD groups on eBay. The amount of people who actively sell/buy recasts is really, really sickening.

    5. It's true... lots of people will go for cheap or free, no matter who it hurts. People will take things rather than work for them, and be gleeful about getting something for nothing (or cheap). I'm not sure why these people don't have any ethics or sense of right and wrong. Maybe it's just that they only care about themselves and believe they are entitled to get whatever they want? It is really sickening, I agree.

    6. I saw that, and then proceed to complain DoA banned them. Gee, wonder why.
