Elf Sculpts in Modern Times

    1. Hi y'all! I'm sort of getting back into BJD after some time away from buying dolls. (I purchased my first boy in 2008 when I was 16, and I'm 31 now... things have changed a lot since then, huh?) I'm really interested in what kinds of elf sculpts are around for 1/4 scale dolls. I'm a big fan of CP and Luts but their selection of elf sculpts nowadays seems fairly limited. Fairyland has a few MNF elf sculpts but they're also elf VAMPIRES?! Fine if that's what you're lookin for, but. I think it's time to broaden my horizons...

      What are some of your fave recent elf sculpts? Boy or girl, long ears, short ears, you name it.

    2. Resinsoul has some elf sculpts, their pictures are often very lackluster and downright bad so definitely search for owner pictures to see how cute their dolls really can be.

      Asleep Eidolon has few elf eared dolls and fairies with pointy ears, they're usually time limited but Legenddoll has some sort of deal with them that allows them to order them even after their normal ordering period is over.

      Doll Leaves has few elf eared sculpts and as a bonus they're very affordable and have gorgeous face-ups if you're not planning to paint it yourself/getting it done by someone else.

      There are probably plenty of others too but those are the first ones to come to my mind. With Luts and Fairyland the elf eared ones are often only available for a limited time as event dolls so finding those available anywhere after the events can be hard.

    3. I've just discovered Doll Leaves and I love their Lan sculpt! She's so pretty, and I'm sure the example face-up helps a lot... so sparkly. I'll look into some of your other suggestions. :3nodding:

    4. I love elves! Although I mainly have 1/3 dolls, I noticed recently that Dream Valley and Dollzone have some amazing 1/4 elf sculpts! <3 Dika Doll also has a few 1/4 elf sculpts too ~

    5. SartoriaJ has some gorgeous elf sculpts they run as limited editions, so you have to get them at the right time. Those are great though if you want a more fashion-scale 1/4.

    8. I'm going to second Withdoll and I also love Soul Doll elves. Both companies release their elves as limited runs, but Withdoll does re-releases regularly and Soul Doll always seems to have a new elf/fantasy sculpt just around the corner. :)

    9. OH wow, I really love the mature faces on SatoriaJ's dolls. And they have so many different elves!! With different elf ears!! Serena is really enchanting me...

      Ohh Dollzone snow is very cute, and I like that she has a smiling face. A lot of these elves are so serious! And ya know, it's really cool to see so many different fantasy sculpts too.

      GOSHHHH she's not an elf but Soul Doll Freya is getting me...her beautiful nose... I like the suggestion of Withdoll too. They have some very cute sculpts and I *LOVE* that they have a darker skin option, even for elves. Sometimes elves have darker skin!

    10. Dream Valley has several elf eared MSDs. I love the look of their dolls and how posable they are. Dollzone has couple of elf dolls currently too.

      Racoon Doll are fashion scale (smaller heads), but they make a number of elves.

    11. Ringdoll doesn't have many elf-ear sculpts, so it is easy to miss them, but their 1/4 girl Muscovado has such cute little pointy ears.

      I also suggest checking out Magic Time. They make a lot of slim MSD's that have interchangeable ears so you can pick between human and various fantasy/elf types. They aren't very popular, probably because they don't have many dealers, but you can get them at Legend Doll last I checked. Their sculpts kinda remind me of older CP style.

    12. Doll chateau have a few elf sculpts too. Unfortunately several of them are being discontinued at the end of this month. (*cries*)

    13. Oh! You know, I think my cousin was very into Doll Chateau for a while. Their sculpts are so beautiful and I loooove the long ears.

      Ringdoll Muscovado is also ADORABLE. I think her ears are pointy enough to count as an elf. Elf or elf-adjacent!

      These Magic Time dolls are activating some very old CP affection in my heart. The teen girl who wanted a Shiwoo so so bad is loving these... I also like the length of the elf ears, and that they offer a tan resin.

    14. Another one I just remembered: Fatemoon Dolls has some elf eared ones. My Dollection lists some more of their dolls than the first link does but as it doesn't seem to have sections for brands so it's bit of a pain in the ass try try finding them there (or at least the mobile version doesn't have sections for brands)

    15. If you're into anime style sculpts ShouShou Niko is a good one if you use the human body (there is a fantasy satyr body as an option as well)! Unfortunately, she is a limited run sculpt but you might be able to find one second hand if ShouShou Doll doesn't re-release her.

    16. I would like to plug Doll Leaves Lan also! The sculpt is really versatile and can go modern OR fantasy very easily. Also I love the doll leaves body. :3

    17. Dollzone discontinued a few dolls recently, but I think Snow, which is still available, is a really nice 1/4 elf sculpt!

    18. Coralreef released a super cute elf eared girl, they have a few gorgeous faceup examples on their IG, she is limited though:sweat but definitely worth a look!
