1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Elfdoll 14cm TinyDoll discussion Part 4

Sep 26, 2011

    1. First: May I just say GOOD FOR YOU that you managed to sneak in an "OT" question before the Moderators found and erased it!;)

I don't have a Picco Neemo body - yet. I want a white one, and those seem to be the more difficult to find. However: I can empathize with you about trying to find an alternate clothing source for ElfDoll tinies. Both ElfDoll and Dollmore Banji dolls are similarly sized and equally difficult to find clothing for because they are so delicately sculpted! I have also had a bit of success with Heidi Ott clothing for 1:12/Doll House dolls (adult sized). You will probably have to hem the dresses and cuff the pants. You might also try the teenage-sized clothing…

I think that the P•N clothing would be the right length, but would swim on the ElfDoll's torsos. If you don't mind loose clothing, then it could be a good solution.

Spampy (here on DoA, and at her own web-site) makes excellent clothes for just about every kind of tiny, and they're not any more expensive than Azone's outfits. The problem is that she's very much in demand, and sometimes is away doing charity work in Africa and other countries.

Another delicate, tiny doll are the SleepingElf dolls. Maybe you can ask the lady who makes those whom she recommends for tiny clothing.

As for more Commercial sources: Mattel's Kelly doll clothes fit Banji and ElfDolls width-wise, but the length is too short. I have also had success with the 7-inch Holly Hobby fashion doll clothing on another skinny doll: The Coraline bendy figures (released a few years ago for the movie). Now I am curious about how the H•H clothes might fit on an E•D…

    2. as a continuation of clothes that fit: bratz kids clothes fit well, but too long...I just tend to cut off the bottom of the pants. SleepingElf's artist is Tinybear who also makes wigs. And I can't really remember her name *facepalm* but she used to make fancy little outfits for Ms. Cholong's elfdoll site...does anyone else remember? I think she's still around...I just don't know where.
Kitty- love your reason for editing *giggle*

    3. Teseya, did you mean QZ fashion, perhaps?

    4. yes, that's it! Thanks Miep. She once made these lovely Rococo dresses for elfdoll...it was amazing.

    5. Ooh-ooh, I just remembered: Vintage Dawn or Pippa clothing fits elfdoll, too. They fit the more mature bodies better because Dawn had boobs, too. Of course: Being "Vintage" (1970's) means that you may have to do some searching & waiting to get a decent price on clothing that still had it's fasteners intact, or isn't too torn up. That being said the "Mod" styled fashions are fantastic!

Teseya: Yeah, LoL :D It bothers me to no end when I realize that I've put a comma in the wrong place, or I decide that a colon would look better than a Hyphen. Clearly what I have trouble with is editing for space/time/succinctness :doh

EDIT: I remembered that Mattel also had their version of a tiny fashion doll called "The Rock Flowers" that you might try an Evil-Bay search for…

    6. Long time no spam. Changed Kai's eyes and strung on her other hands. Kai isn't a big fan of the pink stuff Olivia wears. Dress by me.

    7. Hi, guys who probably are all girls ;)

Sorry for dropping in like this, but small question : does anyone know when the next ordering period is? Did I just miss one?
I did check the Elfdoll site regularly but still see only 'soldouties' and I really really really need a Hiro :(

    8. Hi Laurey!
Looks like the last order period ended Jan. 20th. Not sure how long it is usually between ordering periods when it isn't around the holidays.

      Olivia spam! Just because...

she thinks that if she wears her spring dress the snow will disappear and spring will arrive. let's hope she is right because i'd love some warmth and for plants and flowers to come back!

we are waving to the girls above us who are so lovely themselves :D

    11. yay! *waves to Rii*
Yes we need some springtime here!

    12. I've just been looking at buying new wigs for my four girls so thought I'd create this mosaic and add it here so that the thread doesn't get lost in all the other tinies threads!

    13. cute pictures! I really want a small wig that isn't too heavy for my Olivia. I ended up just cutting a bit of a tinybear wig and gluing it on so it doesn't make her head look gigantic. They are just so .... tiny!

    14. love your mosaic Sharon, your girls are so cute!

and yeah bluehaiku, they need some tiny wigs, i'm still not really happy with my Olivia's wig situation, after allthose years still haven't found her perfect one.
i do have this mohair i bought years ago, should finally give wigmaking a try!

    15. Thanks bluehaiku. I am totally with you on the wigs. I got my four wigs from Kemper and the three Heidi's are fine, Min is wearing one and I'll have to show her on here, but the fourth wig was weird, just a piece of completely shapeless net with some thin mohair attached! It wouldn't fit on the dolls head because there was no shape to it....so it's gone into the wig box....probably never to come out again!

Thanks annina! I am now down to just the three girls because I recently adopted out my Jin. I surprised myself by doing so because I've had her the longest, but I never did want four of them, so I have twin Mins and my Bong now and I'm very happy with them now!

    16. that's how it goes sometimes, Sharon, i'm glad you are happy with your three girls.
i actually still have it as my goal to get Bong and Jin sometime to complete my Monnaemi sisters, but i seem to always have other doll priorities that come first.
who knows, it may happen in the far away future.

    17. I've had pretty good luck with wigs. Kemper, elfdoll...though I did strip a tinybear to make a glued on wig on headcap for Lynn. I tend to have too many wigs...I don't use them all but they all work fine.
I also recently got a Bong, so I do now have all the sister...but only one of each along with my 3 other elfdolls ^_^ you can never have too many...they are just so easy to own. I'll attempt to load new pics of Etsuko's Morikami Gardens adventure soon. She is such a 'Tokyo Girl' I've realized. I love her.

    18. Yes, would love to see your Tokyo girl!

I got some cute Japanese style fabric from a seller on Etsy. Very spring timey. I just need the motivation to make something!!

    19. Does anyone know if QZ Fashion is still around? I can't find them, thanks

    20. Oops, totally forgot to find time to post her pics. Here is a sneak peak of Etsuko hanging in the spirit houses at Morikami gardens.
