If the faceplate was sent out for a faceup at some time, it may have been exposed to more light or heat that yellowed it a bit more than the body.

I bought her as in perfect condition... But now I'm wondering if the body is from a twiggy release..or if only the faceplate is ... :/

The body matches perfectly with her cheeks though..

 

Twiggy was a darker skin. They used the homme skin for her. Homme skin was used for the men and selected other releases. The body looks like the homme skin but the faceplate looks like normal skin. Here's a color comparison. Hiro in the middle is the homme skin.

 

hmm..could it be a 1st bodyrelease with a 2nd release faceplate..(her face is not so pale). I found this one on flickr (not my picture)

@nancy_schroeder_ca can you please confirm me that faceplate and body should match 100%??

 

Frequently the faces look lighter because of the sealer. i would put a wig on her and see if you can love as she is. With Elfdolls we frequently have to get heads and bodies from different periods.

 

It's not so visible with a wig...but shouldn't have the seller told me that before buying her? Instead of selling her as 1st release twiggy?

 

Ok I have been looking and can't seem to find this anywhere. It is probably right in front of my face somewhere, but what is the exact height of these dolls?

 

The older body is 41 cm, I'm not sure if the new body is the same height.

note that her head is Elfdoll normal (old enough) and the body is Loongsouldoll normal yellow. They're a bit different.
It's OK actually, but yellowish Loong normal pink color would be better I suppose.

 

So many pretty girls! I recently 'discovered' Yumi with her lovely eyes, and started looking for her to buy. A friend of mine
has her in Twiggy version 2 with painted Dami faceplace, fist hands, dress, wig, box etc. all still pristine. For a very friendly price.

Does anyone have parents or older siblings for their girls? The normal size Elfdolls are too big IMO, and I'd love to have an Asian mum or dad - big sis or bro - to interact with her in photoshoots. none of my dolls are the right height/proportion.

what shoes have you found to fit her? I have lots of Unoa size. hoping my other slim mini clothes work for her too.

Maybe a Zaoll or Ramie or one of the other about 50 cm ladies would work for a mom or big sis.

ooh, Ramie, that's a good idea. I posed my Sharmin Elf girl next to Soom Idealian 51 and DT Elf Jun 52cm. proportions all wrong for both, but height is good.
why is it that buying a doll often involves buying a doll? and clothes or props......?

of course, best idea is to actually get Yumi first, then I'll know better who she might match.
but, love Ramie.

Unfortunately, new dolls always seem to need things or friends! But that adds variety to our collection!
