Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I'm getting to it!

      My dream doll is an AS Lucifer... but his "twin" mold, Adam, I just didnt like it. I dont know what it is, but I still dont like it, but less then before....
      I want to get Seren and Sara (Characters of Mine that are Fraternal Twins) and Lucifer and Adam would be a great choice, but I still did not warm up to Adam enough =P

      Same for all the animal sculpts.... at first I really did not like them... but now the more I look at them the more I want one XD

    2. I love my Hujoo!

      I used to hate tinies. Really I didn't understand the appeal at all. I said I would never own one...

      I have 3 on the way, and sorting out to getting more. I snapped recently and realised I needed some tinies, and I realised the attraction of them...whoops xD

      I honestly dont think I will ever like the NotDoll scrunched up lips though.

      I used to hate them XD And now I love them!!! I just saw some awesome owner pics and was like 8D !! <3 lol

      Yeah, 1000014, I'm not a big fan of the scrunched up lips either LOL

    5. Pretty much all of the dolls I want are molds that I once hated...It's weird. And all the ones I used to LOVE are the ones I like least now!

    6. Oh sure, lots of times!!! It's usually about seeing some great owner photos, or taking a chance on a doll I'm not sure about and finding out she's amazing in person.

      I used to not be fond of the Hina Ichigo mold, in photos her face looked very flat and sculpturally uninteresting somehow... yet the very unpopularity of the mold really recommended her to me so I bought a nude one in the MP last summer to try her out!
      In person her sculpt was quite detailed, in fact she reminded me of the MSD F-16 but with open eyes instead of half-closed.

      When I first got into the hobby I thought Misia/Shinshiya were almost horrifying! XD But they totally grew on me and they're really cute when done up right (heh).

      There was a certain Luts sculpt I never liked (CP that is) but when he was released in elf-ear'd form I had to try him... and nope! I still didn't like him! XD But hey, I tried!

    7. Mine is one I don't actually own, but have thought about often. Unidoll Ark. I thought I was going to just about DIE when I first saw him. I mean my gosh, after Jace and Feanor (and there was never any doubt that I'd own a Feanor, he's just so excellent) I was about beside myself to see a New UniReal Sculpt! Opened the window and went

      "WHAT were they THINKING?" O_o

      And now one of my favorite dolls of any I've ever seen is Frank's -- Frank. It just shows what can be done with a sculpt that has good "bones", so to speak.

      Or even one that looks totally plain. Several people have mentioned dolls that have the world's ugliest promo pictures but are really wonderful dolls.

      I never thought I'd ever own *any* Volks, because most of the F-series are just indistinguishable to me. Either snobby-looking (to me) or just... mouths too wide, can't tell gender, yadda yadda. Well my Irvin is sitting here being Adored, and he really has that same overall look. Don't know what it is :)

    8. Plenty, haha. I tend to dislike molds pretty easily, but once I see them with a different face-up than the original, or just see better pictures, I fall in love. ^^;;

    9. This will probably sound crazy, but when I first go into this hobby, I really didn't like Shiwoo. XD My sister kept telling me that he was really cute, but I just couldn't see it. Then, once I joined the forum and saw pictures outside of Luts' promo pictures, I realized that he really was adorable! Now I have a Shiwoo, Dreaming Shiwoo Vampire and a MNF Shiwoo on my wish list. XD

    10. Seconded. Frank's Frank is a wonderful Arkian ambassador. The human Ark is one of the few craggy, older-looking BJDs out there, which I'd never realized until I saw Frank's photostories.

    11. This has happened to me on a number of occasions, and I guess its just that I didnt really appreciate the mold until I spent time looking at it. I was never crazy about a Elfdoll, but seeing them over and over again Ive learned to appreciate them.

    12. It's not like I actually hated the mold, but I never was too fond of Glot/Glati. Everyone you talked to would be "aww cute" and whatnot and I just did not see anything cute about them. Looking through their database (mainly to see the bodys after I ordered my Bygg) I found a few that were really nice and after looking through a few galleries I fell in love with the sculpt :sweat
      Now I have a nice little Glot head at home and get get over how awsome she is ^^

      But there are a few sculpts I did not like at first, but seeing how nice they can look when their owners put much effort in them I start to like some of them.

    13. I didn't really care so much for the Dollfie Dream line. I thought it was a 'goofy' face. But after seeing them in person, I came to love them. In fact, I own one now and looking to buy a rare one. :3

      I didn't like her. I have no idea why, but I didn't. But all of a sudden I started liking her more and I bought her. I didn't even like her as much when she got home, but after redoing her faceup for the second time in my entire life, I LOVE HER. She is sooooo cute! <3

    18. That happened to me with MNF Chloe. When I saw the promo pictures I thought she looked, let's say, fake. I didn't like her face at all, and her dress seemed to me like a good design, but nothing special fabric-wise. Just yesterday I saw a Chloe box-opening, and she looked wonderful, I feel in love with that doll in a second. Right now I'm not sure I want one for me, but she's lovely, and I've ended up really liking her dress.

    19. Hmmm, well I don't necissarly have any that I HATED and then loved though I do have a couple that I disliked incredibly for awhile...

      First was the Dollshe boys. I thought they were just, I don't know, just not my taste at all. But now after seeing more owner's pics and stuff I'm completely in love with Bernard and Saint and I think Rosen is really beautiful too. :D

      Another was Doll Family Lingfeng, I was annoyed every time I found a picture of him because I thought his bottom lip looked way too huge and his mouth and eyes just made him look either bored or surprised. But again, after seeing more photos I realized that it was just the angles of the photos that I was looking at that made him look that way and I saw how completely awesome he was. :D

    20. Lots of times. Some grew on me, some didnt appeal to me until I saw them with another face up.

      My friend had a N Doll Miso I used to rip the pee out of all the time, I notoriously hated it ( but my friend liked the fact, she liked 'odd' dolls), but when she came to sell it I bought her straight away. I couldnt let her go! Its like I had come to love her strangeness and I owned her some some years before I sold her when she became too yellowed.
