1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Eye material and putty material preferences?

Jul 22, 2018

    1. For eyes I stick with glass, and they're usually cheaper eyes with lots of swirling detail that I like best. I've owned acrylics, silicone, and urethane, but none of them ever seem to stick around for me. Even the set of Oscar Doll eyes I've been trying to find glass eyes I like better for that doll for.
As far as putty, I've been using either white/blue tack or clear silicone ear plugs. I find a lot of the putty like material leaves a residue the ear plugs don't (but that only works with clear plugs).

    2. I've only had acrylic and resin eyes, and I'm not super crazy about the acrylic eyes I've had-- all the domes seem really high, so it makes my doll's profile look weird and unnatural. I love the pair of resin eyes I have, though, and I can't wait to get more. As far as putty, I've used sticky tac/blu tac but found it dried really quickly and didn't stay pliable for very long, and silicone ear plugs, which so far haven't given me any issues.

    3. I just amazon bjd eye puddy.
