Fairyland Feeple Ashley & Riff Special

Thanks, Liria! I did send my own note, but I know they are on holiday.
If they do reply that they have no intention of sculpting a Dreaming Ashley head, I'll just do my best to modify this one to look like Ashley.

 

The lips on the Vampire head looks like Ashley's, its the chin that's off. It seems quite similar to NaNuRi 07.

I still plan on ordering an Ashley. Luckily, the Elf head is the main head I want. I'm hoping the vampire sculpt is of her. I LOVE the Ashley sculpt, and have been trying to save up enough to get her while she is still around. I'm hoping I can get her in the next week.

 

I really like the hotty look on Ashley. I thought I was over slim bodies but this girl intrigues me.

IMO, the extra vamp Ashley head you recieved is indeed Ashley. I have spent a LOT of anal-retentive time studying Ashley's face in the past weeks. The profile is the same as the SunnyDay Ashley. Ashley's chin is also much more pointed than the Nanuri head. They are a bit similar though...

 

It is true that the SunnyDay art doll they are calling Ashley is the same sculpt as the Dreaming Vampire head sold with the Ashley limited. The problem is that the open eyed head named Ashley is not the same sculpt as the Dreaming Vampire head included as part of the Ashley limited package. That is the whole point I was trying to make when I first posted this, because I don't want anyone else to make the mistake of thinking that the two heads are the same sculpt with different expressions. As idrisfynn said, we'll post blank comparison photos tonight. They are similar enough that the vampire head could be modded into an Ashley head, but the lips are not as full, nor as wide.

 

This makes me so sad!!! I love the Ashley sculpt, and wanted an elf and vampire head for her. I might get her anyways, but it makes me sad that the Vampire head is not of her. At least I know now.

 

Yeah, sorry Sterling. I feel the same way, which is why I felt like I should post about it.

There are subtle differences in the browbone and cheekbone that just don't show up in 2D.


The nose is the most obviously different part. Ashley's nose is straight and slim with a sharp ridge. The Dreaming Vampire's nose is more bulbous at the tip and the bridge is much thicker with a stop in it.

So, yeah. Similar enough that modding could make the Dreaming Vampire very close. I do hope that Fairyland decides to make a Dreaming Ashley head. I'd buy an entire extra doll to get it!

Well, after seeing her unpainted, I love Ashley even more, and I'm disappointed about this vampire head (that appears NOT to be Ashley). I love Ashley's full lips, and cheekbones, chin, and nose (All which are different in the vampire head). I'm not going to cancel my order, but I am disappointed in the Vampire head.

Yep, you are all right. I was wrong, my apologies. I only had the online photos for reference, and I can't believe I didn't notice that the SunnyDay head was different. (I must need more sleep, LOL) But now that I've seen the comparison picts its REALLY obvious. Which sucks because I thought I was purchasing a Vamp Ashley head, not Nanuri. I like the Nanuri head, but it is the sculpt of Ashley that I chose to buy. I am curious as to why Fairyland chose to do this.

Can anyone help me out in figuring out how to pay for this girl? I thought I was supposed to get an e-mail with the payment info so I could pay for her. I'm not sure what I need to do. Maybe they will send out the payment info for all orders once they are back from Holiday.

 

They will send you an invoice, but probably not until after they come back from holiday.

Does anyone know when Fairlyand will be back to work from their Holiday? I thought Liria said the 26th, but I still have not heard anything about how to pay for my order.

 

If it makes you feel any better, I just now got a notice from Fairyland saying my doll had been shipped and was scheduled to arrive on the 27th. Note that she arrived on the 22nd. Unless I'm getting another Feeple I don't know about!

But, the invoice did not have my city on it, and it would not allow me to change that detail. I messaged Fairyland about that issue. I hope my girl gets here safe and sound!

 

Sterling - the invoice I got for Eximbay had my full address but I didn't see a way to change this either. That info probably came from whatever I filled out on the original order form thingy. I'm sure your girl will arrive just fine if you emailed Fairylnd about it. Not sure when Fairyland is back, but the 3-day holiday is Sept. 24-26.

 

Thanks for the info Liria! I am also curious to know what they say back about the differences about the Ashley heads. I just love the elf head, but in many pictures, the vampire head does appear quite different .

For anyone interested, the 1:1 board seems to be a great way to communicate with FairyLand. I let them know just last night about the address issue, and only a few house later, they responded, letting me know that they will be sure to send the package to the correct address .

Also, St.James, I just saw the reply to your post on their board. If you like, I can send the a message about getting a neck piece for me and you, and ask them to ship it with my girl and then I can ship yours on to you. Shipping within the US should be under $2 on something like that.
