1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Fairyland Feeple Ashley & Riff Special

Sep 16, 2007

    1. Liria, thanks a bunch for the info and photos! ^_^ It's nice to know that the Vamp Ashley head is not Nanuri. Still, after seeing St.James' photos, there is quite a difference between the vamp and regular heads. Maybe more relaxed facial muscles or something?

    2. Well, the primary issue (for me) is not whether the second head is Nanuri or not, but the fact that the two heads don't look like the same sculpt. The differences in the nose can't be explained by a different expression.

Sterling, that would be great if you could get me a BW neckpiece! Let me know what I owe you.

    3. I'm still waiting to hear back from them. I'll let you know what I hear once they have time to respond!

They seem to be so quick to ship things out, lets just hope they did not get my payment yesterday, and shipped my girl today!

    4. This is what I heard back from Korean Fairyland rep
When they design heads, they don't just make two (normal and dreaming) from the same facial mould. There may be some discrepancies because they consider and look at the image of two heads separately, and design accordingly.

I was looking at Ashley Dreaming Vampire head on Fariyland website and did notice subtle difference to normal head, like what St. James posted. I requested comparision photographs of Ashley Dreaming Vampire Head (SunnyDay's) with faceup vs no faceup, and will post the photos once I have them.

    5. Riff is absolutely amazing! I'm half tempted to sell one of my boys to get him...=.= but I don't think I could. So I must save save save!

    6. These are comparison photos between Ashley Dreaming Heads (not SunnyDay's but other head with makeup).

So, I think the main thing is that Fairyland's normal and dreaming heads may have some differences because they don't make them from the same facial mould, and what St. James received is really Ashley Dreaming Head.
I think similar makeup can make the two heads look quite similar, like what they have at Fairyland website. :)

    7. I can't help but notice that Fairyland hasn't written back to me. I feel as though perhaps my concern didn't translate quite correctly. I have never been under the impression that Fairyland did some sort of bait and switch and actually sent me a Nanuri head. They did actually have the second head listed as a Dreaming Esther head on the very first day, which was the first strange thing.
I'm still puzzled by the statement that Fairyland uses different molds because not a single one of the dolls in the Delf line, the Mini Fee line, or even the Riff Special have such pronounced sculptural differences between the open and closed eyed heads. From an anatomical perspective the differences are typically in areas of soft flesh (mouth, cheeks, eyelids) rather than in hard structural areas like the cartilage of the nose or the point of the jaw.
It would seem that there is really no point in my worrying about it anymore though. :sweat

    8. St. James, I did write a reply (actually, I added a reply to my previous reply to your first message) at 1:1 Care Centre, just before I came to DOA to post the photos. It seems like it has not been read yet - try checking it again, and if you still can't find it please let me know via 1:1 Centre or email. And I will pass on your concern more correctly again.

As for the second head listed as Dreaming Esther head on the very first day, that was actually my mistake - I accidently wrote Esther instead of Ashley by mistake while translating the texts, and was corrected as soon as I realised it. My apologies about the confusion there.

    9. Liria: Thank you for keeping us updated as you find out information! The Ashley head is so lovey, I'm hoping the Vampire head looks like her, but from many pictures, she does appear quite different.

St. James: I will let you know once the package from Fairyland ships! I'll get your neck part to you as soon as I have it! I'm very happy fairyland allowed us to add those to my order!

Speaking of shipping, can anyone tell me about how long it takes to ship? I ordered my Ashley just the way they come, with a faceup on the Elf head, and the Vamp head blank. I'm not sure how long I will have to wait for her, but I'm hoping I will have her in time for my next local Meet! Several other collectors in my area are interested in Ashley, and I think if I have mine by then, it will help them decide if they also want her!

    10. My Ashley just arrived! She got here very quickly, and apparently I was #5 out of the 68! I'm rather surprised about that, but I think its totally awesome! If anyone wants to see the opening pics, here you go

      http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=170367

St. James: I just packaged up your neck part, so hopefully I can get by the post office today, and ship that off to you!

    11. Ashley poses AWESOME out of the box! The Feeple body is amazing, everything is packaged so well, and the customer service they provide is amazing! She can use a bit of sanding on her seam lines on the arms, but thats easy enough to take care of.

For those of you wondering about the vamp head, I do have to say, it does look like a melted together NaNuRi 07 and Ashley. That is REALLY to bad, because Ashely is to die for gorgeous! In my opinion, it the upper lip, the thinness of the nose, and the chin that are different in the Vamp head from the Elf head. They did make the bridge of the nose, the eyeshape, and basically everything above the nose to match Ashley. If they make another version of Ashley with a vamp head that looks like her (So long as I have the money) I would get her. My ONLY disappointment about Ashley is the vampire head.
In the following pictures, from left to right, NaNuRi 07 (delf), Ashley Vamp head, Ashley Head

In this picture, you can see the difference in the chin.

The difference in the nose thickness

(Sorry, bad pic) Difference in the upper lips. St. James pictures shows the upper lip difference better, you can't see the Ashley head well in my picture.

    12. Wow, how did I not find out about threse gorgeous dolls until now?:love The bodies are these dolls are absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! I love the Female Feeple's body:aheartbea WOW..... Liria thank you so much for all the information and the beautiful pictures:fangirl:.... Say Liria would you happen to know what the skin match between the Feeple (Normal Skin) & Senior Delf (Real Skin) might be?:sorry
      ~Anthony

    13. FairyLand said "FeePle's Natural skin is the same color as Delf Normal skin."
So, the match is probably the same as Delf Real with Delf Normal.
Don't know if that helps you. But there is more info on Luts matches than on FeePle. So, at least, it may be easier to find the info.

    14. Are there any plans for a non-elf version of Ashley?

    15. Ashley is really pretty :D :D But i seriously think her lip coloring makes her look... strange

    16. Thanks Anthony - sorry about lateness of this reply. Another customer did ask the same question on FairyLand website a while ago.
Skin tones of Delf and FeePle are almost the same, but Luts Senior Delf's Real Skin Resin tone may be slightly different to FeePle's Natural Skin tone. Unfotunately it is hard to produce FeePle to match Senior Delf's Real Skin Resin. Luts and Fairyland have different procedures and techniques to produce the color mix, and some discrepancy is inevitable.

Apparently there is no plan for Human version Ashley at the moment.

    17. The Feeple resin looks super pink on the site, more like a DOD resin than a Delf (that always seems to have a warmer undertone). Are those pics accurate?

I'm thinking in terms of hybrid matchups.

    18. I was wondering what kind of clothes fit them? So far on the Feeple site they only have two outfits for each gender, neither really seem that casual. So would Hound or Model clothes fit?

I'd love to get a Riff but I don't want the poor guy to be naked either!

    19. I think Model clothes would fit. I'm going to order some for my Feeple girl, and hopefully incoming feeple boy.
