1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 67

Oct 15, 2021

    1. Oh good! I figured I would have to order two bodies or do a split. Thank you for the help! :D

    2. According to Fairyland, it does not (yet they did an order period where you could order as such??) But many people, including myself, have swapped the busts with no issue. Just make sure you're ordering the A-line body and not the Fairyline body. ;)

    3. Thank you @moonlightnocturne ! Minne makes *such* wonderful corsets -
and I have *way* too many for my gals. As for what I dress them ‘with’ -
mainly delicate heirloom-sewn petticoats. That’s my favorite sewing to
do as I adore the sheer Swiss batiste fabrics, French cotton laces and
silk ribbons. These petticoats take *hours* to make - but I feel they’re
worth the effort. I may have posted this image before - but here is a
look at my group - lately switched into different group of corsets.

    4. Oh those are very nice! And yes, she does make beautiful, beautiful work. I can't imagine the effort that goes into those corsets.

Not to mention your petticoats are simply stunning! I honestly thought they weren't handmade until you mentioned it. Excellent work!

    5. Thank you @moonlightnocturne ! Yes, Minne’s work is *really* amazing.
      ( btw - Minne is a man )

I had several wonderful classes in the 2004/5 for “Heirloom Sewing for Dolls”
with the most wonderful instructor. Making these delicate garments for the
dolls has kept me in this hobby since then - I just keep looking up Edwardian
garments from various museums and seeing if I can create something similar
for my dolls. Handmade garments may often be of much higher quality than
those made by companies (who for making a profit, so use less $$ fabrics).

    6. Oop, my bad. I try to refer to people who's pronouns I don't know to as they/them but somehow that slipped my mind that time.

Wow, that sounds incredible! I love fashion from that period and a bit before it! I sewed a Victorian inspired outfit for one of my dolls, and as a new sewer it was fairly difficult. You must put in a lot of work in your garment making!

    7. My mother (now 84) made a beautiful heirloom baby dress for my middle child (who is now 26). This all makes me wonder if she still remembers how to sew heirloom. I still have the dress hanging in a closet. The technique used in the dress would surely make a great addition to a corset on a doll. Hmmmmmm.....

    8. curious...they change out that hook thing in minifee renewal A-line's leg, ... but left it in the motion line body that was released a year after renewal A-line?

any tips avoiding string stuck around that hook or how to fix it easily with pants on?

    9. OMG! I am trying to sew corsets as well but this is on another level <3

    10. I’m having a weird issue with my Nanuri 2021 head. The neck key won’t turn at all when I try to put her on a recent body. I have an Ingrid full doll that I just bought last year and it’s like the neck key gets stuck after moving about a millimeter.

It’s especially strange because the neck key on my 2011 body moves perfectly, but the resin match is terrible due to yellowing so that body isn’t an option for her. I really need her to be on a recently produced body and have no idea why the key won’t turn.

Has anyone else had this issue, or have any ideas to fix it? I’m not keen on sanding the inside of her head without being sure that that’s the cause of the problem.

    11. Is the body itself hard to pose, like it has really creaky joints and snaps back straight and arms/legs won't hold a pose? I had a similar problem with a body once brand new from Fairyland and the body was strung so tightly the turnkey wouldn't move

    12. I recently had trouble with an Ingrid head I had just bought. I needed to tilt the head back just a little and then it turned just fine. It panicked me for a little bit though. I have also had the turn key turned all the way around (180degrees).

    13. Tilting the head back worked perfectly! Thanks for the help.

    14. I'm glad it worked! It really freaked me out when the key didn't turn at first! Since it was the same sculpt, we had trouble with, I wonder if that one tilts back further than the others.

    15. I had a dream about my incoming girls last night, I dreamt that they were ready after only a week and shipping directly to me from Fairyland. :XD: I guess that's what we all hope for, isn't it! Seeing everyone's photos and beautiful dolls has helped make the wait easier, so I wanted to stop by and thank you all for such a vibrant discussion thread :aheartbea

    17. That's so cool! I love Atlantis. One of my favorite movies growing up. :)

    18. Yes, mine too! I saw her and it was instant love, so I just had to get her... The nervousness till the seller replied if she was still available was driving me crazy
Right now I'm trying to get her a correct earring (found someone on etsy who prints it in human size she's gonna try printing it in MSD size for me) and necklace... I'm a perfectionist so those 2 things are bothering me a little bit

    19. @Hikari-chanXx congratulations!!! She's lovely, and looks so perfect, exactly like Kida from the movie!! You've done a wonderful job <3

    20. Oh, I bought her like that! The faceup was done by Elo Dolly on Instagram according to the seller
