1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Fairyland MiniFee MNF discussion part 67

Oct 15, 2021

    1. I'm so excited to share this! I asked earlier in this thread for size examples of Minifee and was really uncertain and nervous, but I found a moe line Chloe from a doll artist and snagged her so I could see what they're like in person while I wait for a new doll from Fairyland.
And oh. my. god. I actually LOVE her size, and she even fits extremely well in the 1:6 scale room box I'm planning on using. I think A-line might be too big for me overall, but Moes are completely perfect. I'm amazed at how much I love her.
Edit: My photos aren't working sadly, but she's so pretty! Pic: Imgur: The magic of the Internet
Edit edit: I'll just drop the link for anyone who wants to see, haha. Thank you @Magnus Vale, I'll try making it smaller and see if that works out next time!

    2. @CygneNoir Glad you love your girl! I'd suggest resizing your images to be smaller, sometimes that fixes it! Mine break most often if they're too large.

Finally had a bit of non-humid weather yesterday, so I got to face-up my Soo Elf boy event head! I love the expression on this head, it's so gently sassy. I need to get some pics in better light, it's so dark and cloudy at the moment, so my apartment is even worse light wise than usual.

    3. Awww, they're really cute! Love the lil millenium ring too.

    4. Haha, thanks! I love the expression on this sculpt, so happy I managed to get him painted! Also, yeah, I was a huge fan of the series when I was younger, and ended up running into a listing for the ring when I was looking for jewelry findings on Aliexpress. XD

    5. It is so nice to see the event heads start to get painted!

    6. The event heads have been pretty cute this year! I had a lot of fun painting my Soo, just fell in love with that little pout the moment I saw it in the event. Plus I loved Iset, so had to get her too!

I just received my Lishe elf winking head who is going to be one of my characters with a burn scar over their eye, hoping to paint them this week provided (A) that the weather doesn't get too humid and (B) I have enough MSC left in my can. I also want to repaint one of my other heads, so we'll see.

    7. I have I think the Sarang event head coming later this year that I haven't decided what to do with yet.

    8. Finally got the right head in...but now it has a new serial number on the ziploc that doesn’t match the certificate AND no new certificate was issued. The other thing is that they sent it in a bag with some paper padding and one small square of bubble wrap barely the width of the MNF head. I messaged DDE again to see what I need to do but I’m shipping the wrong one back in the morning with extra padding and everything else to make sure its next owner gets a perfect product (and better luck than I had).

    9. Yikes, makes me glad I haven't had any major issues with them! My only problem has been them refusing to reply back about a poor quality wig that I got, nothing with dolls.

Speaking of dolls, I did end up doing my Elf Lishe's face up! This was my first time trying a big scar, I think it didn't come out too bad. This is Marche, a character I've been trying to shell for a while.

    10. Sorry if this topic has already been discussed, I've been out of hobby for a few years. I have MNF Mio on moe boy body, which has been in a box for years. I got him today and was shocked - the head does not hold on the neck at all. it always been a bit loose, but now I can just get the head off by turning it a few times. How is that possible? I bought the doll in 2015 in a group order, but I have the box, certificate and the rest, so I have no questions about authenticity.

    11. I had this problem with one of my F60s that I had just received from the company. I made sure the elastic in the neck wasn’t twisted inside. It was a little and that helped, but then I used eye putty to keep the key (or whatever you call that thing that turns) in place and it works great now.

    12. Thanks a lot! I'll try this!
I also wrote to the company, maybe the connector can be replaced

    13. In my case, I think it was the head that was actually the problem. There was a tiny bit of an incline at the point where the connector was supposed to sit. If you have another Minifee head, you might want to try it to be sure it is the connector. Or try that head in another body. If it is the connector, I know they sell them separately.

    14. I have had this issue with one of my newer dolls. I believe mine has a twisted elastic under the neck piece, because if I twist the neck piece the other way, the head will mostly stay on, but since it's not supposed to be that direction, the head sits a little off. I think the issue might be fixable but restringing and untwisting that twist in the torso.

    15. Thanks for your tips! I checked this connector with different heads and the problem all the same. The elastic doesn't seem twisted to me, but I'll try to restring it, it's probably the time anyway. A big nice piece of eye putty helped for a while just fine though

    16. @Evil_Lo

With my F60, I just continue to use the eye putty because it works so well!

    17. I also have good luck with putty! I also will put some tissue paper to fill the head cavity and sort of block the switch from moving.

I also have a weird picture request - would anyone who has a Miwa with the Fairyland face up post her? I feel like the artist who did my girl made her eyebrows too worried and her lips too pink, but it might just be a weird lighting/angle difference. It might just be a case of liking the promo photos better than in person, but I'm curious now and want comparisons.

    18. I just came here to mention this too! I saw a post about it on insta. I'm very curious to see more! I might have to pick up some centaur goodies! I had been wondering if FL would bring back their centaurs! They seem so well crafted! :love Def looking forward to seeing some pictures!

    19. Fairyland has a full unicorn up on their site as of last night, as well as every part on it's own. (like head, and horn)
I need to buy me some wings now.
